when you're a new and know nothing about army and ask a question about their tactics the first thing some idiots do is attack you not the problem then question your courage. i am serving in a hot zone and sitting on the front lines and doing my job without complaint. my only question was that why do the army recruiters lie, why not be honest and take care of their new recruits? simple question really. but of course there are those who never question their superiors and say i shouldn't either. i learned the hard way at meps that i should question them, i had no idea then and am trying to warn others to make sure they get everything they are promised. i still think ppl should join just make sure you get treated right.

I had belongings at the residence still. Before I got the rest of my stuff I didn't realize she had went through it and stole a book of checks and my Ipod. I went to the bank and realized my balance didn't seem right. I found out she wrote a check to herself for $150.00 and signed my name. I closed out the account and told I would give her a chance to return my money and belongings or I would press charges. She said she had a witness that seen me give her the check and tell her to fill it out and sign my name. She said I would go to jail for lying. I have total proof the signature does not even come close to matching mine. She said she would try to get me in trouble by making up lies about me. What kind of trouble can she get in to and will I get in trouble because she is lying and has somebody to lie for her????

11,000 in property damages thousands of dollars in loss of wages. 2 shoulder reconstruction surgeries in 12 months neck and back injuries, i will have pain on all of the above mentioned for the rest of my life. i will never be able to use my arms the same ever again because when they were reconstructed both shoulder capsules had to be tightened to the point where not even physical therapy will help them recover to how they were before the accident. i have to take 1000 mg vicodin on a daily basis just to help function without so much pain. The doctor has me taking 6 a day everyday.

The below article was published in the Columbus Dispatch and cites an Ohio State University Study which looks at the effects of marijuana on the brains of rats with dementia.

http://cannabisnews.com/news/22/thread22303.shtml

Ohio -- Give an old, confused rat some pot and it starts remembering things. An Ohio State University study shows that synthetic marijuana boosted memory and reduced brain inflammation in rats with brains altered to mimic the effects of Alzheimer’s disease.
Researcher Gary Wenk, a study co-author and Ohio State professor, shared his work at the Society for Neuroscience meeting in Atlanta this week.

The findings support the theory that anti-inflammatories might help fight the devastating disease and add to evidence that compounds in pot might be helpful in treating Alzheimer’s, Wenk said.

i was promised a higher rank (E3) and a small bonus (6 thousand) by my recruiter but when i got to meps the processor said they couldn't do it and to sign. i said no and then a sargent started yelling at me and said i wasn't getting it to sign and get moving. i talked to a lot of other guys sitting around there and they got the same treatment. they lied to us and used us. i used to love the army and respected it but now i don't. don't you think the army would do better if they treated the recruits honestly.
