To be honest I think the bad totally overshadows the good by a mile. What legacy will blair leave that will stick in your memory.

Bad. He's put this country in danger from terrorist. We now live in fear. He ignored what the majority of his people wanted and started a war.

The lasting memories of the Blair era for me will be -

The sight of a 75 year old pensioner being manhandled by security staff because he had the audacity to heckle at the Labour Party Conference.

The fact that pensioners have been imprisoned for not paying the extortionate increases in Council Tax.

The 70 or 80 Stealth Taxes that have been introduced.

The billions spent on 2 unjustified wars.

The fact that our Country is no longer a safe place to live, whether it"s Terrorism or Law and Order generally.

I could go on and on but won"t.

I just hope whoever takes on the job, uses a little common sense.

If any ordinary working person is really better off financially I would be surprised. Council tax up by about 70%,stamp duty doubled, just to name two things that have gone up since 1997. Got a NHS dentist?. The legacy Bliar leaves is that of Iraq,Afghanistan and the vastly increased threat of terrorism to this country. Lets not forget however that every decision was endorsed by the New Labour Cabinet.

Better off?
Britains economic fortunes for the most part are the results of mrs thatchers long term economic policies and global economic boom.
Unilaterally britain is falling behind on a global scale meaning the economy is not doing well and we are coming to the end of blairs massive vote buying spending spree funded by mrs thatchers legacies and taxing the motorists and hardest workign of britain until the pips squeak!By sheer coincidence the govt coffers are running dry as blair begins to clear out his desk.that way the less informed of the electorate will remember the blair years as prosperous and that way his ego will be fed to bursting.
Blair is the worst primeminister the country has ever know and the wisest recognise this. All he and his ugly wife crave is personal glory as they suck the lifeblood out of a thousand years of culture.then they can retire in wealth after selling our proud nation to islam for a few votes.
Blair murdered england!

It depends on the who is doing the considering. The rich are even richer business is getting more and more prosperous and getting cheaper and cheaper labour. The Stock Market is rising,Public/private enterprises are making a fortune for business.Importers are doing brilliantly. The thing is for Joe average and our young people things are getting worse.Margaret Thatcher would have screwed us down ten times worse. Its time we all became more politically active especially the young. No politically party can work for long against the best interests of its members. This is where Labour always go wrong, the Tories always look after Business, their enforcers the police and to some degree the military.Joe average is made to pay for the lot. With Labour they always try to share the pain of running the country and try to be fair / even handed etc and forget their supporters. The legacy Tony Blair will leave is that he got "New Labour" elected and to show what new labour means shows that "Old Labour" has a lot going for it.

Were not better off, it's all borrowed money on the back of ridiculous house price increases. Those chickens are starting to come home to roost. But, the social problems caused by this government are beyond measure.

Pensions have been taxed into non-existence; dozens of stealth taxes introduced; pay rises are non existent; first time buyers can't afford a house; personal unsecured debt at an all time high - How the *%&*!! are we better off?!
