Amazing contradiction. The labor unions would love to know that their propoganda campaign against Wal-Mart is falling on deaf ears. Just think of all those member dues being spent on a futile effort.
Most American unions are despicable in their behavior and deserve the slow death that they are currently experiencing.

I hate WalMart. A lot of their products are inferior. Their stores are usually very disorganized. Of course rude, inconsiderate customers are partially to blame since they mess up the shelves. Everytime I pick up an item to read the box or packaging I always get the Spanish side first. Give me a break. Overall they are just not pleasant stores to shop in. I'll take Target or Kmart any day.

Sam Walton was Walmart
being one of the richest men in the country, he drove an old pickup, had simple ways, was a friendly good ol boy
he treated employees as associates and customers like kings
he visited the stores regularly, talked to people, pitched in and helped out!
When he died, that part of what made walmart special died too
try to get some customer service now! LMAO i hate shopping there and i avoid it at all costs

Wal-Mart is evil because we are all afraid that one day it will take over all industries in the world. Once it has done that, there will only be it and government remaining, but since it will controle all government funding, government will only be a symbole.

You mean besides the fact that they are anti-union, they bring down the average wage in any given area (Supermarkets like Safeway, for example, are union and pay anywhere from $9 to $20 an hour to their cashiers ... Wal Mart pays close to minimum wage. Where does that extra money go? Into the stockholders pockets). You mean besides the fact that they are known to abuse workers' rights by avoiding overtime, not paying for health benefits, forcing them to skip lunch and breaks?
You mean besides the fact that they lower prices in a particular region until it is literally impossible for the locally owned stores to compete with them, thus cornering the market and running out small business owners?
You mean besides trying to control several media - like record labels and toy manufacturers in order to negotiate lower prices than are available to anyone else - furthering their non-competition agenda?
You mean besides the sweat shop labor they employ in Bangladesh and other third world countries around the globe? They will often pay laborers less than a dollar a day to produce garments that are sold in their stores for $10 or more.
They are a bad company, and should be avoided AT ALL COSTS! They trample everything in their path.

I love Wal-Mart. I have no sympathy for their workers, they could have paid attention in school (like I did), did their homework (like I did), not gotten knocked up or knock up their g/f in High School (like I did), went to college or a trade school (like I did), and then they wouldn't be a low wager earner at Wal-Mart (like me).
Their low prices help me and my family and they have most everything I need. It's a great place. I could spend roughly 20% more at the grocery store for the same products, then goto the mall and spend roughly 150% more on clothes, and then head on to Sears to spend roughly 40% more for home products. Or I could just do it all at one store and save loads of money.

Their business practices (which are sometimes evil indeed) and their lack of concern for their work force are the secrets to their success. I have had no problem avoiding Walmarts. I will not shop at one.
Walmart developed the practice of pressuring vendors to provide mass orders at cutrate prices. Sounds like a good bargain for the consumer right? Wrong. this cuts down on jobs here in the US. Walmart then moves into these areas and hires the out of work workers at lower salaries. They then point their advertising at the same lower income people who end up supporting the company.
There are a couple of good books out on their business model.

Wal-Mart is evil because we let them be. We as a people don't do anything to stop them; therefore, the fault is ours.
