as precursors for war, how is it so unfathomable that this could not happen in modern times.

1. enact a national gay marriage law
2. Start impeachment hearings
3. slavery reparations
4. Come up with a series of new federal felonies for abortion clinic
protesters.
5. Give amnesty to all of the illegals
6. Tell all the terrorists that we are real sorry for infringing on their rights, and that they should be able to concoct all of their plots without anyone listening in.

Anyway you look at it, the first thing they do will inevitably be pointless. Maybe if the terrorists started setting of bombs in the known habitats of endangered wetland toads, the Dems MIGHT feel the need to retaliate and protect our land, but until then......don't hold your breath.

All data is taken from Realclearpolitics.com

PA Senate Casey vs Santorum (incumbent) 52.8 to 40.8 Note the margin of error puts Casey below 50%. Dems think this is in the bag. While Casey may be ahead, he does not have the 50% to win.

MT Tester vs Burns (incumbent) 47.7 to 45%. Statistical tie. Below 50%

OH Brown vs Dewine 53.5 vs 41.3%. The margin of error may put Brown over 50%. Still a lot of undecided people.

Do you see that this site is calling elections, without mentioning the margin of error? None of these races really tell anything. It looks like the Democrats are leading, but nothing can really be claimed from the statistics.

This is what the media does, report stories that they want to have happen. You have to have 50.1% plus the margin of error to be stastically winning. Above are 3 that are supposedly in the bag for the Dems and the polls actually say something very different.

Class dismissed. :)

2) accept a deal with a public prosecutor and for year or so 'show up for check-up.'

What's done is done, so now : 1 or 2, that is a question.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 2 (HalliburtonWatch.org) -- The Bush administration has successfully stalled a federal investigation into alleged bribes that were paid by Halliburton when Vice President Dick Cheney was CEO, a company filing released Tuesday shows.

Investigators think the bribes -- totaling $180 million -- were paid to officials in the government of Nigeria for the purpose of winning a multi-billion dollar construction contract.

Should this investigation move forward?

Two things to know before you read below: Marines are taught 1) Keep your priorities in order and 2) Know when to act without hesitation.
A Marine was attending a college course between missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The professor, an avowed atheist, shocked the class one day when he walked in, looked toward the ceiling, and said loudly, "God, if you are real, then I wants you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes."
The lecture room fell silent and the professor began his lecture. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God - still waiting."
It got down to the last minute when the Marine stood up, walked toward the professor and threw his best punch knocking him off the platform and out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat down.
The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"
The Marine calmly replied, "God is busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to behave like an idiot and say stupid stuff. So He sent me
