The first thing I want to say here is that I do not consider John Stewart, Rush Limbaugh, Anne Coulter, Michael Moore or any others of their ilk journalists. Their value is in their opinions and in their slant, not in their ability to present facts.

Right, on with the question.

Do journalists have the duty or the right to question authority?

Is the journalist's job to present the facts, whatever that means, and just the facts, and to remain as non partisan as possible or is their job to provoke and question what they see and present the idea as fully as they can?

My issue with "non partisan" news, history, or facts is that I do not believe they exist. I do not believe that any one fact can exist without being colored by perception. Maybe elemetry maths is exepmpt from this statement, but even then, the possibility of other conceptions of math, non binary math, for instance preclude its absolute truth. What do you think? Not about math, but about Journalism.

New Federal Law—Springing Forward in March, Back in November

Months after Indiana passed the law that got it in step with the rest of the country, the federal government announced a major change in Daylight Saving Time. In Aug. 2005, Congress passed an energy bill that included extending Daylight Saving Time by about a month. Beginning in 2007, DST will start the second Sunday of March and end on the first Sunday of November.

Why does bush say stupid things all the time? It seems that when ever his staff has not written something for him to say, evreything that comes out of his mouth when he is thinking on his own, makes him sound like a fool.

I thought Presidents were supposed to be "SMART." Clinton was. Every wrod that came out of his mouth sounded intelligent!

The other night, I got to talk to two veterans and they both told me that the best way to enter into the military is by making your own contract with them, to go to college first and then serve as a commissioned officer.

I want to know if it's even possible, and if it is, what issues and catches could be involved.

How many people think he is to blame for the whole murder thing? Tex Watson was already suspected in 2 murders in TX before he every joined up with Manson and Manson himself has said that he never ordered anyone to kill. He said they did it and told him about it after the fact. Even the DA said Manson would have gotten off unless all the family was charged together. Check out www.Write-A-Murderer.com for letters from Charles and to get his side of the story. He seems to make some very good points about the whole trail and his involvement. Is it wrong for a guy to not turn his friends in for murder? Appearently that is all Manson seems to be guilty of. He may act crazy for the media but as you can see in his letters it seems to be just an act he puts on. He knows he will never get out so he acts crazy and insane as a way to keep people from messing with him in prison. If anyone would like to write him his address is also listed at www.Write-A-Murderer.com with the rest of the families.

When Ronald Reagan was governor of California he signed the bill making abortion legal in this state.

Since you Republinazis think that Reagan was so great why didin't you petition him to not sign that billo back then.

Thanks to your wanderful Reagan it is the law here in California, so get over it.

There are many more importants issues to deal with now with Bush and his Diebold regime as play-president.

"Reagan's awakening came after he signed a bill as governor liberalizing California's abortion laws. That, of course, led to a surge in abortions."

All these people who rag on Bush..... he is our president! Have some common decency people! I don't care if YOU voted for hime, enough did to put him in office. Yes he has made some mistakes. Everyone does. So why are you mad at him for making mistakes? No one can be perfect. Another thing, yeah the war has been going on for a long time. You know what? Bush said it would be a while. A high percentage supported the war at the start. Now the majority want to back out. What's with this? No Clinton couldn't have done it better. He's just an idiot.
