Why does bush say stupid things all the time? It seems that when ever his staff has not written something for him to say, evreything that comes out of his mouth when he is thinking on his own, makes him sound like a fool.

I thought Presidents were supposed to be "SMART." Clinton was. Every wrod that came out of his mouth sounded intelligent!

Bush says stupid things all the time because he's stupid!!! Its that simple. If he had a brain, he'd be one step above a fungus - and a small step at that. He makes the Village Idiot look like a genius. There's no way you can compare Bush and Clinton - Bill had a brain and knew how to use it and was one of the most intelligent people to ever occupy the White House (except when it came to interns). Bush on the other hand is dumb as a rock and is probably the most stupid to ever be President.

First of all, articulacy and intelligence shouldn't be confused with eachother. Clinton was articulate, yes, but was he intelligent? That's another matter altogether, one which is completely irrelevant to this discussion. The point is that they're two entirely different things, and while the President is obviously inarticulate, that doesn't necessarily make him unintelligent (it doesn't necessarily make him intelligent, either).

Secondly, I would say the opposite of what you said about Bush. I think that in general, he's bad when he has to read speeches, and good when he's just talking off-the-cuff about something that's really important to him, such as terrorism or money. But when you get down to it, regardless of the circumstances, in comparison to Presidents of the past, Bush has the articulacy of a lampshade - whether that's more important to you than his ability to protect the nation, or if he's even doing that properly, is up to you.

He's not exactly the brightest bulb on the planet. Were it not for his speech writers, he wouldn't sound intelligent at all. I've always felt that the country is really run by Karl Rove and VP Cheney. I agree with you; he otherwise doesn't exactly give the impression that he's a deep thinker. Unless he started reading briefs & reports given him daily how could he make logical decisions w/o the help of Rove & Cheney? He said himself that he doesn't "bother" with info read by most presidents but him. He's so stupid he actually admitted that! Scary, huh?

That's why he has people talking to him in that pack on his back, like Carl Rove. Anyway, it depends on what is "stupid." It may be that he is just bad with words. There is nothing in the constitution about having to be smart to be president. Speaking of things coming out badly, you spelled "word" wrod

Kind of like you, huh? We all say things wrong sometimes, Mr Bush unfortunately has the world just looking and waiting for him to stumble so they can point it out. Oh, lets see..."evreything" "wrod".......yeah, right.

Your ignorant as hell. Clinton got all this **** with the war started in the 1st place. He had a chance to take out Saddam a long time ago but he never authorized that decision because he was a pussy, Bush has a sack, At least he is doing something about it.

It's either a chemical imbalance or some sort of self-esteem issue. The funny thing is he speaks clearer when he's in an aggressive mood, but when he's trying to be "reasonable" or diplomatic he trips all over himself.
