Not to provoke fundamentalist Christians who are satisfied with the Christ notion on one level, but in moral and social philosophy, would the greeed money powers, corporations, governments of the USA, Russia, even the UK - permit Christ to live?
After all, there were allegedly "gods fearing" people in charge within both the Roman and Jewish camps when Christ turned up first time.
He had subtle but effective ways of inspiring anti usury and social and political revolution as well as metaphysical, spiritual renewal.
And would the voter groundswell in all three ‘democratic’ countries merely
shrug, look the other way as they do when
a social reformer is assassinated on behalf of vested interests in Russia and more insidiously in the USA and the UK?
How many of us would be prepared to really confront issues, put our lives on the line like the pre Third Century Christians did?
And if we did so, would we immediately withdraw from Iraq, Belfast, Latin America etc?
