Will we be forced into "universal healthcare" and other horrible things? Will we have to turn in all our firearms because Democrats want to abolish the 2nd Amendment?

Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government.... it is their Right, it is their Duty to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.

soldiers? Did you know that with Bushes new policy, no negotiating with terrorists, our soldiers are orderes to fire back? This kind of makes me sick. These are innocant babies dying!!! What if someone kidnapped your baby and held it hostage? Would it be okay with you if the police fired their guns while the kidnapper had the baby in his hands? We say we are over there to correct things in Iraq? It's not our place to correct them, and if we're correcting them, then how come more people are dying than ever before? It would have been more merciful to bomb the entire country than what it is to drag this war out and make everyone suffer continually as Bush has done!!!!!!! Agree? Let's vote democrat in November and get some people in there with some common sense!!!!! There is a lot to be said for common sense!!! And most common people have it.

I consider myself to be a rightist, but I don't always identify with the GOP, because it is not far enough to the authoritarian right. But I think that is going to change. I think there is a strong resurgence of authoritarianism and nationalism in America.

If you need proof just read the Military Commissions Act of 2006 and the Patriot Act. I think if the GOP wins in the 2006, we will see more authoritarian laws.

So what do you think?

The assistant police chief has alot of domestic violence with his family. His son told our daughter about some of it. This made the assistant mad, so we're thinking he made his son break up with our daughter. Now that they are getting along, he doesn't like it and wants to make trouble. We feel helpless. We've talked to the school officials, and they say both get along great, but the police chief said that my daughter better not aggrivate any trouble for the assistant's son, or he'll have our daugher back in his office again. He also told her that people around town think she's smart, but some say our daughter's a "*****". When we talked with the police chief, he couldn't give us reason why he said what he said. He just said that they need to get along, but when our daughter asked the assistant's son if he was talked to the police chief about getting along and he told her, he didn't need to talk anyone. Seems crooked to us. Please help us.

Not to provoke fundamentalist Christians who are satisfied with the Christ notion on one level, but in moral and social philosophy, would the greeed money powers, corporations, governments of the USA, Russia, even the UK - permit Christ to live?
After all, there were allegedly "gods fearing" people in charge within both the Roman and Jewish camps when Christ turned up first time.
He had subtle but effective ways of inspiring anti usury and social and political revolution as well as metaphysical, spiritual renewal.
And would the voter groundswell in all three ‘democratic’ countries merely
shrug, look the other way as they do when
a social reformer is assassinated on behalf of vested interests in Russia and more insidiously in the USA and the UK?
How many of us would be prepared to really confront issues, put our lives on the line like the pre Third Century Christians did?
And if we did so, would we immediately withdraw from Iraq, Belfast, Latin America etc?

As a white man I am deeply ashamed that other white men bought black slaves from Jewish merchants who brought them against their will to America. It seems to me that the only way to truly make amends for that is to repatriate every man, woman and child with African ancestry back to Africa. There they could live free and develop their full potential unfettered by the oppression of the white man.

So I've been thinking a lot about fear and repression, and one of the names that comes up for me is that of Junior Senator Joseph McCarthy.

I was wondering what people think of his methods. Was he a misguided man trying to do the right thing? Was he crazy, fueled by an almost religous fervor to persecute something he didn't understand? Was he performing a legitimate service in trying to rid our country of Communists? Was he repressive and antithetical to American rights? Was he protecting our country?

I don't want to hear about how Communism really isn't all it's cracked up to be, and how Socialism is great, or how Communism is anti-religous and bad, I have a good grasp of the concepts. What I do want to hear is what you personally see in Senator Joseph McCarthy. I'm going to pick a best answer not based on my own political beliefs, but based on who can give me the most thoughtful understanding of history, and who has a strong opinion.

I was crossing the intersection when it was still a yellow light, and I noticed that it was a photo- enforced intersection. I believe I crossed it before the light turned red, but I am not too sure about that. Assuming that I did not, I am asking all of you, specifically in California, when can I expect to receive my potential ticket. Thanks!
