In most states, capital murder carries at least a life sentence. Often, there is no possiblity of parole. If there is a possiblity of parole, you probably won't be eligible even to be considered for 25 years. Depending on the law of your state and the circumstances of the crime, a conviction of capital murder can lead to a death sentence.

I am no lawyer, but I think that "capitol murder" carries a sentence of life without parole, and one could be sentenced to death in the states that it is still practiced in. But again, I am not a lawyer, so I could be wrong.

Geesh you are in a mess if you are the one being charged. This could be life or death. Please get an attorney and discuss this matter.
