It's a little known fact, that in every town that has a Dunkin' Donuts
or a Krispy Kreme, the local police are compelled by state law to inspect and sample one of each and every type of donut baked in the establishment.

This test must be be done once each shift and must take no more than 30 minutes ON SITE to complete.

Sometimes, due to the sheer volume of donuts baked, it may mean sending more police to do the evaluation. Remember it has to be completed in 30 minutes and then logged and timestamped. This report then goes to the local Board of Health for filing.

The test results are evaluated by the Board of Health and then that Donut etablishment gets either a Satisfactory or an Unsatisfactory rating.

Now, if you actually believe all the above is true, I suggest that you talk to my Cousin, Vinne, over here. He has this bridge for sale.........

I worked as a fry cook and a doughnut baker at one point while going to college. Police officers didn't buy any doughnuts. The owners policy was to give them to the police free, and meals were half-price. This was not a shake-down as you might want it to have been, but a solid reasoning that if we had police as customers we would probably avoid a lot of trouble from people who "had experienced troubled childhoods."

It worked, I only had to break one fellows jaw, and slice the face of one who made it back to the kitchen (different episodes) in over a year at that less than exclusive location.

The damage we were saved was worth many time the investment.

You do have a legitimate point, but I don't think so. Cops do eat a lot of donuts, but not enough to affect the donut business as much as you think.

I see the police driving around all the time eating donuts and drinking coffee while they are driving. I though it was illegal to eat or drink and drive at the same time. If it's good enough for the police, well then it should be ok for the rest of us to do it also.

If all you can think of is that old cliche, maybe you should not quit your day job. Most people disrespect things they fear. Why do you fear the police? Are you a criminal, a coward or a want to be but not good enough? It must be one of the above.
