Qualified is a funny word to use when you talk about a president. Is anyone really qualified to lead the world most sophisticated military, properly use the political power of the world's strongest nations, and lead the American people to political conclusions that they consider unpopular. No one is really qualified, but I think the issue is more that American needs to be more used to female leadership in general. Once we are more used to CEO's, bosses, police chiefs, congressowoman and cabinet members who are women then we will be more likely to elect one of them as president.

I would vote for a female president, yes ... unfortunately, I do not see any on the political landscape that would be powerful enough to be trustworthy, honorable and likely to get America back on the right track.

Alas, I do not see any men on the political landscape that meet those qualifications, either.

Condi Rice is probably the best qualified female in the country. She is brilliant (more of her brain cells are active in deep sleep than the rest of the Cabinet can muster wide awake) and a gifted diplomat. Additionally, she has the right connections and the TV persona to carry off a presidential campaign. It is unfortunate that she is associated with George Bush's good ol' boy network, and her political career may suffer from the anti-war backlash, but I think she has done a fine job of maintaining her individuality.

America may be ready for a female president, but I believe the good ol' boy network still holds sway in virtually all aspects of the political and business communities responsible for determining candidates. The best qualified men get hammered; I have no doubt that female candidates would suffer the same fate.

i imagine the yank human beings want a replace, and that i do believe we "the human beings" are waiting for that adjust. in spite of the indisputable fact that, i'm skeptical of that adjust occurring given the historic custom of the yank presidency being held by technique of all white men (or a minimum of they seem white, lol). intervening time, I in basic terms sit down and wait to confirm the end results of this presidential race. fairly considering that i have discovered a wide lesson in the course of the 2000 presidential election. the position Gore received the most customary vote and lost the election. What many voters do not comprehend is we go into that revenues area to vote for a particular human being it really is on the poll, to change into the president (so we predict of). yet we are not actual vote casting for that certainly human being to win. Our vote is surely a vote to opt for the Presidential electors from all the 50 states plus D.C. that is the vote from the presidential electors of each and every state that count number and determines the subsequent president! Our votes are in basic terms used to opt for "Presidential electors" from our state and it really is their votes that are offical, not ours...Does everyone see something incorrect with this procedure? i have discovered my lesson that year...i became deceived. i have also discovered that that is puzzling for persons to cut loose from custom, and that i comprehend there are some those who would particularly die till now they see a lady or black guy change into president of the U.S. subsequently, I received't carry my breath.
