I consider myself to be a rightist, but I don't always identify with the GOP, because it is not far enough to the authoritarian right. But I think that is going to change. I think there is a strong resurgence of authoritarianism and nationalism in America.

If you need proof just read the Military Commissions Act of 2006 and the Patriot Act. I think if the GOP wins in the 2006, we will see more authoritarian laws.

So what do you think?

Yes. Remember when they first signed the Patriotic Act they promised it was temporary? They said the same thing about the CIA. The Patriot Act is here to stay sorry to say.

hopefully the Democrats will reverse some of the most authoritarian things...not these 2 years but when America wakes up and leets the other party lead for a while

It looks like you may get your wish...if good people do nothing to STOP IT.
Both of these new end-runs around the Constitution shows that our President and those who voted for the passages do not deserve the offices they hold and need to be FIRED Nov 7
