New Federal Law—Springing Forward in March, Back in November

Months after Indiana passed the law that got it in step with the rest of the country, the federal government announced a major change in Daylight Saving Time. In Aug. 2005, Congress passed an energy bill that included extending Daylight Saving Time by about a month. Beginning in 2007, DST will start the second Sunday of March and end on the first Sunday of November.

Yeah, another one of Bush's bright ideas. I don't really get the reason for the change or why they call it saving time. It's dark when I get up so I turn on all the lights. It's dark when I get home from work so I turn on all the lights. Where is the saving coming in?

Yes, I know it was originally for the farmers but farmers drive equipment with headlights now. That's a moot point.

no longer an answer yet... can't we merely go away it in one place or the different? greater governmental interference in our very own lives to maintain the known public off-stability. we could merely overlook approximately it this time.
