I have been following the story of Pat Tillman the ex-NFL player who was killed by friendly fire in Iraq, They just had a peice about him on Sportscenter and his fellow soldiers said that they were told by the Govt to keep thier mouths shut about it,even though they knew that he wasn't killed by the terrorist and it was friendly fire that killed him. Why couldn't the Govt just tell the truth in the first place..I mean 3 investigations later and we find out they lied to us yet again. I know that propaganda probably played a huge role in it but doesn't it make things alot worse when we find out that it was just a huge coverup? What does everyone else think about this?

"Various State governors such as Maryland, Texas and Arkansas are calling for called for Emergency Paper Ballots statewide after catastrophic problems during the September primaries. In Texas and Arkansas, thousands were unable to vote during primaries, or when voting machine companies failed to program balloting systems properly.

Hard working groups and individuals strongly urge you to make contingency plans and procedures to ensure that every legally registered American voter can vote in the upcoming general election. All voters must have the option to vote on an Emergency Paper Ballot if necessary, and all such ballots must be counted as regular * not provisional ballots.

Make Emergency Paper Ballots at every polling place this Nov. 7th, so that every election official, poll worker, and voter may be crystal clear on the procedures for utilizing such measures.

What say you? Five US citizens are living off benefits in UK as they try to claim asylum. This story comes from whistleblower Rory Clerke, 34, who used to work for the Government's National Asylum Support Service.

Here is my situation:

I finished my master degree last Dec and now I am with my OPT (optional practical training) which will expire next Jan. The thing is one company now is willing to sponsor me, but they wonder how can I stay legal to work in the US after my OPT expires since all H1B quotas for 2007 are gone. Another thing is my fiancé just got his H1B visa and he is currently working. So I am thinking maybe I can start to work for the company from now till next Jan and then convert to H4 and work as an unpaid volunteer. If my H1B filing turns out successful, I will be able to work as an official employer next Oct. Is this a feasible way and not in any violation? If not, are there any other workable solutions?

Thank you so much for your kind help!!

personally, I think the US should pull out of the UN before the UN starts TAXING AMERICANS. the UN already gets money from the US. the UN also wants teh right to arrest ANYONE and bring them before a "UN court" instead of having that person tried in his own country. the UN is an anti-American organization, and its largest voting block is muslim. the UN also wants an end to ALL private education and ALL home schooling, so all education would be done by the government. you can look this stuff up. who in here has a good enough arguement to get me to be pro-UN? I challenge you.

I am a armed courier, I ride in an armored vehicle.
My instructions in case of robery are
If your messenger is attacked, drive away to remove the liability
from the scene and prevent the rest of the load from being stolen.
do not ever open the door to any one except the messenger even if the messenger has a gun pointed at them trying to force you to open the door.
My Question is what if my messenger is under attack, an assailent
has a gun pointed at them,
Would I be justified in hitting them with the vehicle to protect my messenger?

My father-in-law was hurt at work. He got a chemical burn on his face and it caused a reaction that looks something like Lupus of the skin. His body rejects his skin. He will never work again, though he has had hope since the incident happened 3 yrs ago. What is he entitled to? He has a workman's comp lawyer right now because they were giving him hell about paying for his medications. They pay for his medical bills most of the time and he gets $300 a month. The doctors that workman's comp keep sending him to are telling him that he is entitled to a large lump sum of money and that he will never work again, but of coarse WC throws out that doc's advice and sends him to another. Should he find another lawyer? File for disability? or unemployment? Thanks

My 3 year old daughter came home one day and told me that the 10 year old boy from across the street had put his "tee-tee" in her "tee-tee". Upon examination at the hospital she told us that he also put his fingers inside her "tee-tee" and that he made her lick his "tee-tee". My 6 year old son told us how he and my daughter were playing outside (we live in a cul-de-sac) and that the 10 y/o asked them to come inside his house to see a new game he had bought. He showed them the game, then asked my son to go play with his younger brother because he wanted to "talk" to my daughter for a few minutes. My son left the room, the 10 y/o shut and locked the door, and then did these horrible things to my daughter. His parents are claiming that he was just playing doctor. We go to court in November and it will be up to the judge to determine if he should be put on the sex offenders list. I think he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. What do you think - potential sex offender or future doctor?
