asylum needs to stop in the uk it is getting to soft even americans can now claim asylum in the uk. what is the world coming to. america is saying its the greatest country then why are they sending there poor to the uk.

hehe we are already in the eu so were getting the spanish and portugues so we dont what ur lateions. well in the paper to day it seems u can claim asylum so come here i guess haha. i think you will find our tax is the same as urs in the usa. it goes from 10% to 40% same as the usa. i lived in the usa and i paid 30% tax. i lived in texas.

i guess u dont get me only thrid world nations can send asylum seekers to another country i have no problems with americans coming to the uk to live as long as they can pay there way but asylum in the uk meens u get free health care and free house and free money from the state. the usa is a rich country so can it house its own people and feed them. also the uk does help the usa in iraq do the usa and uk not have alot of soldiers i have nothing agaist the usa but i think it needs to sort out its poor insted of them leaving to come to the uk. and why would u have to bail the uk out we have enought nukes to wipe out the world 1,000,000 times if the usa invaded dont u think we would do that. thats why were not the 51st state. also i know england sent its crims to the usa that was over 200 years ago and the uk owned america thats why there are more brits there than there are here most of u are europeans. only the native americans are america.

Well, if you familiarized yourself with US immigration law than you should know that you can't apply for a work permit yourself, you need an employer sponsoring you. Without work experience you don't stand much of a chance, but depending where your expertise is and whether you are a great student and did internships and work experience while studying who knows. By far the easiest way would be to enroll into a Masters program and go as a student. Tuition fees are very high in the US, but if your graduate program might offer some assistance. You would have to research that and ask at schools you are interested at. Teaching assistanceships, scholarship and tuition assistance can also be competitive, so it can also there depend how good your academic standing is. Or you both decide to get married. However, in order to get a greencard through marriage you need a sponsor who earns 125% above the poverty level. If your boyfriend is still at school he might need to find a financial cosponsor. It's also a question whether you are both ready for such a major step.

Are you nuts. You have to be, there are more UK in the USA than Americans in the UK. If the Americans go there is because they have family connections but not to get a better life. If they go they are not poor trying to get any benefits from the government. USA is not a third world country or you haven't notice. I think that your question is loaded.

I love my country and would never leave the USA for any reason on a permanent level.Don't get me wrong I like the UK and I like its people but my home is the USA and I

The only thing I can say is America didn't SEND them there. They gave their reasons in the articles. It's a real shame. Outright abuse of the system. Part of me would like to send them to Somalia to experience some real "discrimination" and they wouldn't use the gift of asylym so easily.

Well didn't Europe empty their jails to populate America? That is what my history has told me. We are just returning the favor:)
I personally don't think America or any other country is "better" than the other. They all have problems in one way or another. So I guess it's British complaining about American immigrants and Americans complaining about Mexican immigrants. And I'm sure someone else is complaining about another culture coming into their country.
With today's speedy and easy ways to travel that is just something you can't do anything about.

Anyone who wants out of the USA should feel free to go - good riddance to them! They are probably criminals. Why would they have claim "asylum" if the could legally leave? That is ridiculous.

If by better health care you mean higher taxes, and inadequate doctors who have to treat anyone who presents for any reason.... ya, asylum tin the UK would be the place, and please leave the US... don't let the door hit you in the backside on the way out....

They are probably setting themselves up to write a book....if we can get rid of the illegals the USA will still be the grestest country in our universe.....of we don't get rid of the illegals..it remains to be seen what the middle-class will put up with!
