Arent't there laws to prevent nonprofit workers from openly stating their political views? We should be neutral, right?

outside work if your business but while you are volunteering it shouldn't be mentioned

As long as it has no bearing on what you do at work, I think it is ok, but different non-profits have different by-laws, and you should check with your HR director if you have questions, just to be safe.
