I've just got married, but my wife is not legal in this country, and am a resident, and my papers are of citizenship are in process, can she become a resident? and if she can, in how long?

A few weeks ago I asked a question concerning my husband and the odds of his drug conviction being overturned on appeal, except for 2 answeres I got nothing but lectured, judged and told that drugs are bad, I'm going to be a lonely woman, and something about cops breaking down doors. His conviction was overturned and the judge sanctioned for comments he made
so when did we become so self righteous in our opionins that we don't even open our eyes anymore to the possiblites that something may not be right and so easy to judge others that we don't see who we have become, and if we have that right, why do we get so angry when other countries feel they have the same right, All of you out there that felt you had to tell me that I must be to poor and ignorant to afford his defense, first of all both my husband and myself are well educated and make above averge incomes, I hope if you find yourself in trouble someone gives you the same attitude and respect you gave my husband and myself

Michael Moore also claimed to stand up for freedom of speach. I still remember Michael Moore telling a reporter after an awards show that the conservatives heckling him for his liberal bull should not be allowed to be heard.Now Barbara the Nose screams for a spectator to "shut the %$#@ up" at a public concert held on public land,Why? Because she was doing political skits that were unintelligent and boring instead of singing. My question is this. Do Liberals only like the idea of freedom of speach as long as it always agrees with their ideas?

A group of criminal fellows has framed my friend and toppled his future. He is unnecessarily suffering. He was told until the case is over he cannot legally take action. He was framend under Indian penal code 406, 408, 420. I wonder even today how the courts in india take such cases without proper proof and evidence. Simply bunch of idiots have joined and gave oral evidence at the time of FIR, even charge sheeting has no proper documents to show the crime. The court is simply setting dates. Interrogation of the witness is yet to start and so far it has taken 5 years. The pain is agonising. Could anyone suggest an alternative to this suffering and also how to bring those culprits. Unfortunately his financial position has collapsed. He was senior Marketing Manager.Well known for his skills in Marketing and integrity The company has set him up so that he does not jion any competitor and damaged his name. someone suggest how to go about or help?

Barbara Streisand is in the news tonight for shouting the F word at a heckler during her skit with a George Bush impersonator.

However, when she herself was skewered on South Park, she was far less tolerant of the right to express humor through irony.

She condemns someone for speaking out against a tasteless (and long winded) series of jokes about Bush, but remember how she spoke out against a tasteless series of jokes about herself?

But that's Barbara. I can excuse her nonsense, she's an egotistical celebrity. What I want to know is, why did the audience cheer when she told a member of the audience to "shut the f--- up", and later gave some BS line about "tolerance" (wee bit hypocritical) and then said "the role of an artist is to disturb".

That would make the heckler an "artist" by her standards.

I'm not sure, but I think that qualifies as hypocrisy on at least three different levels. And the audience was no better.

Politics aside, do you agree with her or not?

Okay ...where do I begin? ... about 4 1/2 years ago.. My boyfriend was wrongly accused of raping a young girl. There was no "Evidence" it was all circumstantial and hear-say. He had a lawyer, but later found out, after the lawyer took off with the money, that he was not barred. Now he and his father were in a situation where they didnt know what the heck to do... you have a young girl saying that this man raped her, your lawyer runs off. and your AFRAID your going to get hit with hard time! Now he and I as well as his family believe that there was a group of men or "boys" that had a vendetta against him. He was framed, I know that it sounds like hes saying what every other man who is or went to prison is saying. but this is not one of those cases! He went to prison for 2 years and was let go.. for RAPE mind you! They did not take blood! he was detained for 3 days before being "arrested" and now he is the Sex Offenders Registry..please he needs his life back youranswers are appreciated.

A lot of people don't vote simply because none of the choices seem very good. If we had always had the selection of "None of the Above," we could show our disapproval for those running. This would not mean that someone would not be elected, as the runner up would serve, but they would serve knowing they were not the first choice.

Should we demand of our representatives, at all levels of government, that we should have the right to choose, not to choose, any of the runners?

One of my favorite scenes in Shrek 2 is Donkey getting all upset about not having his Miranda rights read to him and then Shrek says, "Donkey! You HAVE the right to remain silent! WHat you lack, is the capacity!"
