Unlikely the case. The US military is too stretched out to commit itself to another hotwar. It is an agreed conclusion that even if a strike does take place, it would only put Iran's nuclear program back by a couple of years, and drive it even further into secrecy. This would not be very effective and poses more problems in future.

The US is also trying very hard to repair it's image in the Muslim world, and a strike on Shiite Muslim Iran would most definitely not do that any good.

The only way that a strike can take place is if it is backed by UN and the EU, as these are the players who can offer military might and clout to such an attack. Even so, I believe that EU is more preoccupied with N-Korea's secretive and dangerous Nuke-tests in the mean time, to want to engage Iran head on using the military. As we can see today, they are only going to use sanctions to state their case, and nothing military.

No, I think the policy towards Iran is now co-existence and multilateral engagement. After all, the US and Iran have a common interest in a peaceful and prosperous Iraq. IMO the Iranian goverment is a lot more anti-American than the average Iranian.

Please, the only thing Bush reads are the speeches his people write for him, and he can't even do that.
He's been getting ready to attack Iran for some time now and he's not even trying to hide it. This is exactly the same path that lead to Iraq.

if bush attacks any other Muslim countries he will have an all out holy war. you are really stupid to believe that Syria, North Africa, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and other Muslim nations are just going to sit idle while the US pick them one at a time destabilizing the entire middle east.

No, we are going to take a side road and stop off to destroy North Korea first. Then it's time for Iran. But, don't tell anyone...Sshhhhhh.....
