You can't find the simplest answer there, nor can you actually mail anything or process or buy anything. You still have to shlep down there and stand in line like in 1812.

Is it weird that i have strong feelings for this great nation? That I love this nation so much, that i am willing to go in the army and protect this beautiful nation from people who will like to destroy it. In short, is it weird that i love the u.s.a more than i love myself?

That the USA is about to enter a totalitarian state?

I mean our constitutional rights are being chipped away, and police are allowed to overstep their boundries to catch crime, but most people are okay with it?

Am I missing something or are we handing away our lives to what we hoped would never happen to this country?

Hey Fans.

For those who didn't see the News, it has been all but confirmed today that the IRA has ceased all terrorist activites and clamped down on Illegal activites.

Now, for those who don't know the history, the British army and Royal Ulster Constabulary, aided by Loyalists, have been at a state of Guerilla War with the IRA for several decades, known as the 'Troubles'. However, under a policy change by succesive British governments, their has been a prolonged, and enforced, ceasefire. a peace-process and now a full Disarmament of the IRA's milita.

Now, i know this isn't exactly the same as the 'Global War on Terror', but does this beg the question that we need to actually talk to these people to stop this bloodshed getting any worse?

They say its because they suspect these countries of having "weapons of mass destruction" but hang on....America AND Britain have them too.

Or they say "because they are living under a dictatorship"... but there were times when China and Russia were too, but they didnt declare war on them for those reasons.

Read about it on today's Yahoo:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061005/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_privacy
Here's an excerpt:
Bush's signing statement Wednesday challenges several other provisions in the Homeland Security spending bill.

Bush, for example, said he'd disregard a requirement that the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency must have at least five years experience and "demonstrated ability in and knowledge of emergency management and homeland security."

His rationale was that it "rules out a large portion of those persons best qualified by experience and knowledge to fill the office."

According to a new 50-state report on child care policies just released by the National Women's Law Center, the Bush administration has successful dismantled government services for children. State funds for child care assistance have fallen for the fifth year in a row. The problem will soon become catastrophic. One person wrote: "Instead of subsidizing health and decency the Administration is subsidizing death, destruction, corruption and decay." Shouldn't US children be a priority?

Democratic sex scandals have been far worse than the suggestive Internet messages sent to teenage congressional pages by former Rep. Mark Foley.

Democrats have wanted to punish their offenders less than the GOP. Just look at "one example" of what Democrats did with Jerry Studds!! He had sexual relations with a 17 year old on Capital Hill, he was re-elected and given a "Standing Ovation" by Democrats when he Retired ...a standing ovation no less!! It's a matter of fact not hype!

What we don't have to allow is the Far Left Wing Radical ACLU Adoring Libreral Democrats lecture AMERICA on morality! There's a certain stench of UNMISTAKABLE UNMITAGATED hypocrisy thast stinks to high Heaven!

It seems that the more the Democrats pounce on this unfortunate affair the more they are dredging up their own party's shortcomings...can you say Monica, Adultery, Perjury, Barney Franks sexploits, Anal intercourse with Pages following Jerry Studds lead.

Foley wrote vile messages, actions none

Wouldn't his actions be a personal matter since the age of consent is 16 in Washington D.C. and the page he e-mailed was 18 years old at the time?

Also, he didn't lie under oath about it.

I for one am sick of the poor choices we have in candidates. Coundn't the government itself sponsor each qualified candidate itself by controlling the debates and the airing of them? This would allow more diversity in our elections and all the people could hear proposals from each candidate, not just the ones who can afford to be on T.V. The government could air and sponsor debates between the candidates and we could truly see which one will represent us the best. Now with how elections are set up, candidates would have to get some sort of sponsor to give them money in order to advertise themselves thereby becoming a slave to that sponsor. This is why, I feel, our leaders cannot represent the people nowadays. They are slaves to their sponsors and their own greed and have the parties ideals, and their own on the agenda and not the wishes of the people. The government should set up the debates between each candidate from each party and have sole control over broadcasting it.

if we are a democracy, I don't feel we should see one person acting as a dictator, but here we are, Bush over riding the Senate and House, and not representing the will of We the People, and clearly not acting in the system of checks and ballances.

How has this become this way? If he and next presidents are allowed to do this, are we not simply the mirror images of the 'evil' regimes we supposedly went to war to topple and remove?

Ok, the law's stipulate that taxation without representation is illegal, well then why-at sixteen- are we legally allowed to work, and in return the government, community, and state are allowed to tax our paycheck, yet still we are unallowed to vote, therefore-taxation without representation.

Is this truly abiding to thier own law's, or does it exceed the rights of our government?
