And no, I didn't "lose" anything - it was just the MOST stressful time of my life waiting for results from another lab - for 3 days I believed that I had a serious disease! So I guess I did lose something, I couldn't work, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep.

There may be something that you could do. You should seek the advise of a lawyer in your area, if you wish to pursue something.

Realistically though, you are not permanently injured, you had to deal with a few bad days and you will recover from that. Is pursuing the issue further worth it? Only you can decide.

Good luck!

If you mean make money out of it, it depends on what the consequences of giving you the wrong results were. If you suffered no harm, you get no money.

If you mean, what can you do to make sure the lab shapes up, sure. Complain to the state Board or Department of Public Health and/or the licensing authority if different.

depends on if you lost anything due to this. also you might want to be tactful and ask them if they gave your actuall results to someone else. because if so the disclosed your private medical records without supboena to a member of the public. your medical records are confidential to you and your doctor or residing technicians. make sure that when your fact finding you carry a microcassette recorder with you as to record anyone you talk to

THis is not a lawyer's forum

Go ask a lawyer. They will give free advice for a few minutes of their time, or ask their legal assistant.
