I believe that the victim in a crime (or the family of the victim if the victim was murdered or if the victim is a child as in child abuse cases) should have a say in how a criminal is sentenced.
Would this lead to a fairer way of sentencing if the views of the victim (or their family if the victim was murdered or if the victim was a child as in child abuse cases) were taken into consideration by the sentensing judge?

I see Jews, Asians and Persians making something of themselves and conducing safe, walkable communities. Of course they're not perfect, but I don't see high Jew-crime communities, either. I see these people sticking together and helping each other out instead of envying their own. Why can't Mexicans get their act together and promote the message behind the Christian billboards they have on their chests?

I haven't been cloned or stalked yet. Should I be insulted, or grateful?

I'm just wondering, since that seems to be an epidemic in the immigration forum.

I for one do not associate myself with the democratic party in any way, nor am I a liberal. Science is not liberal either. Neither are dozens of professors and experts who also believe 9/11 was an inside job. Are ppl really that brainwahed to believe this is a liberal idea.

I was taught...the reason to study history is so we will not repeat it.

Our country is being mocked by the entire world for our leaders ineffectiveness with handling our problems. Politicans are taxing the hell out of us while not solving any issues. They need to sit down and stop bickering about whos party is better and just do something. Take illegal immigration for instance. If they would just decide on what to do and DO IT, some people would be pissed at the decision, but Americans would get over it and we could just put the issue at rest. The rift between people in this country is going to get wider and wider as long as the big issues remain unsolved until we all reach our breaking point. We as a people are being mocked by the world because of our leaders ineffectiveness. It is not just one party, it is both of them. Yeah Bush is not doing so well with our country but what are the Democrats doing to make itt better? Nothing. They bash him to know end and are only trhinking about the next election and not solving any problems either. Anyone Agree?

I never tried to get a gun licence in USA. But after questions like "Should Teachers carry guns?" I wonder how hard it is for someone to get a gun? How does it compare to a car licence for example?
I hear some US states have 15 year olds driving. The death toll on roads shows cars are dangerous. At least their purpose is mainly for transport. They had a lot of hours practice and studying road rules to get their licence. (is that right?)

How do gun licences compare to that? Guns are designed to injure or worse. How old and what training / testing is needed to get a gun? What responsibility has to be done to keep a gun?

What percentage of US citizens have guns in your opinion?

The percentage of Iraqis who support attacks on our soldiers rose from 47% in January to 61% now. Are we really winning the battle for their hearts and minds?

Remind me why we put our children out there; it wasn't to serve as target practice for a billion muslims, was it?
