Really good question. I would guess that in the end it boils down to a matter of religion. Evangelical Christians vote in very large numbers in certain states (the red ones) and they vote against abortion, against so-called "gay rights", against militant secularism in public education, and so forth. All Republican issues. Most Evangelical Christians come from the working classes. Most if not all of the decision makers in Big Media go straight from university into their jobs. These people have never done manual labor and look down on people who make a living with their hands and tools. Try an experiment. Next time you're at a gathering of Really Cool People casually mention in conversation that you're an Evangelical Christian. Now observe (with amusement) how everyone quickly moves away from you, gives you space, watches you out of the corner of their eyes. No matter how well you're dressed, how good you look, you'll still be shunned. Big Media is populated by Really Cool People. Bottom line, those who do not have a core religious belief system hate and despise those who do. There is a long history of Evangelical Christianity in the Republican Party. The abolition movement, the anti-slavery campaign, for the most part grew out of northern churches and helped establish the Republican Party. Most of the Big Media of that day was pro-slavery. They didn't like the idea that we're all made in the image and likeness of God and therefore equal in His eyes. They hated Republicans and Lincoln for taking the side of black people. Same with protection of the unborn. And also with the defense of Israel. All strong religious issues. Really Cool People in Big Media find these ideas repugnant.

They are all media outlets for the Communists(Ted 'hic' Kennedy, Diane 'Frankenstein' Feinstein, Charles 'Schmuck' Schummer, Nancy 'pig face' Pelosi, Bill 'the fat pant load liar' Clinton, Shrillary Clinton, Screwy Lewis Farrakhan, and last yet certainly least Jimmy 'mr peanut' Carter) in this country. There is a double standard. If a Republican does something immoral he should be shot, if a Democrat (Gary Condit who murdered Shandra Levy and got away with it) does something wrong it is swept under Monica's blue dress.

They don't most of them love Republicans. But even the media can't keep a lid on the misdeeds of Republicans forever. Even though Fox tries.

Just because they don't take Bush's word as the word of God, doesn't mean they don't like you. You may as well be asking why FOX is the only "news" station that reports anything accurately. Why are 4 news stations completely incompetent? Well, maybe they aren't!

The typical rabid liberal mindset is you are allowed to have your own opinion, as long as it's the same as mine. If it isn't - they will belittle you, physically attack you (did you see what happened at Columbia U today?), as they have with Ann Coulter?
