My father says that it is not so simple to stop war. First you must end overpopulation. To do that you have to educate people such that they can learn about stopping overpopulation. Then he said to educate these people you must stop war. So it is a vicious terrible circle cycle.

WASHINGTON - Speaker Dennis Hastert's political support showed signs of cracking on Wednesday as Republicans fled the fallout from an election-year scandal spawned by steamy computer messages from disgraced Rep. Mark Foley to teenage male pages. At the same time, the congressional aide who last week counseled Foley to quit said in an Associated Press interview he first warned Hastert's aides more than three years ago about Foley's worrisome conduct toward pages.
Is it worse to be made aware of risks to young people and say nothing, or to be the perpetrator of abuse?
Watching Foley's speech in Congress 6 minutes after sending a "lurid" email does not show him to be under the influence of alcohol as his lawyer claims!

He said that we should allow the Taliban into the Afghan govt. I was totally dumbfounded when I heard this. I wouldn't be suprised if a Democrat said this, but here is a leading Republican Senator, who could possibly make a run for the presidency. How in the world can he justify saying that. These people supported Bin Laden, and he comes out and says this.

My brother had a son 11 years ago. He committed a crime when he was 21 and gave over temporary guardianship to my parents. (My nephew's mom gave up her rights) When he got out of prison he tried to get his son back but my parents fought him on this. It went to court and since my parents have more money they were able to pay for experts and they got legal custody and my brother lost all rights. I stayed out of it. I didn't testifiy on either's behalf. The court battle lasted 2 years. When my brother lost, he gave up hope and was really angry at my parents and lost contact with his son. In the meantime my brother legally changed his last name to his biological mother's maiden name because he had a baby and doesn't want the new baby to have our parents' last name. I have tried to stay out of the middle but I did tell my dad that my brother changed his name. My dad told me that they adopted my nephew. My brother doesn't know this! Should I tell him? My dad said I shouldn't!
