Im a police officer, and when I'm in uniform I hear this all the time. Parents should encourage their kids to speak with us and trust us, not be afraid of us.

I know what some of you are going to respond with (Police can't be trusted) and if thats your opnion of all law enforcement, then my guess is your parents told you the same thing when you were a chid.

We are there to help, serve, and protect. So why would you want to buid a distrust in police officers from that early of an age? If your child was lost or hurt would you not want them to feel safe with letting an officer help?

I only ask because everything they say and do leads directly to this conclusion. Washington DC is in the middle of an upsurge of violence currently and most liberal leaders seem hell bent on policies which only leave the general populace more vulnerable, such as even more stringent gun control even though this has been an abject failure everywhere it's been tried. Boston also is in the same situation with leaders pushing the same measures that have failed repeatedly, including a ban on .50 caliber rifles even though they cannot site one case where one of these weapons has been used in a crime, rather than cracking down on criminals who they release repeatedly to commit more crimes they crack down on law abiding citizens god given right to protect themselves and their families, why is there this great aversion to self protection and self preservation when the police have proven time and time again that they and the govt either cannot or will not protect you?

"????" condemned President Bush in a statement released Friday, calling him a failure and a liar. "Why don't you tell them how many million citizens of America and its allies you intend to kill in search of the imaginary victory and in breathless pursuit of the mirage towards which you are driving your people's sons in order increase your profits?"

Do you liberals agree with this statement?

Based on what I was told, I suspect someone I talk to has been and may still be committing a crime against someone in real life, but in another state. Should I contact someone? And if so, who should I contact?

I think it should be either Jose Maria Aznar of Spain or Tony Blair of the UK.

Kofi Annan was a disaster. We cannont have another Secretary-General who appeases brutal regimes like Venezuela, Iran and North Korea.

Aznar and Blair understand the threat that Jihadists pose to the whole world. They can use their European contacts to influence the weak and socialist politicians in the EU.

A new Secretary-General from Asia will be unable to confront dangerous Islamic regimes.

I only ask because of the severely limited grip on reality most dems/libs seem to have. Examples: If the parts of the country with the most restrictive gun laws also have the highest murder rates then more gun control must be the answer,WTF? It is perfectly OK to rip an innocent child from the womb in little pieces right up until days of its birth, but it's not okay to condemn a man who cold bloodedly murders 4 people to die(Tookie Williams),WTF?? Need I go on,so again please explain the irrational insane idiocy that seems to be the foundation of liberal thought??

Don't remember the question but the answer had to do with the US having it's independance revoked and being ruled by the Queen of England.
It was a long answer involving teaching the Americans the proper prounounciations and spellings in the English language.
Before anyone gets annoyed,it was a joke and so funny I really want to find it again.
Can you help?
