If you're going to quote someone , you should try to be accurate..
"Five years after 9/11, the worst attack on the American homeland in history, the Democrats offer nothing but criticism and obstruction and endless second-guessing. The party of FDR, the party of Harry Truman has become the party of cut and run," Bush said.

Notice that " has become" not "was" big difference.. FDR and Harry Truman would be going after the terrorist, not true of today's Democratic leaders...

That is exactly the opposite of what the President said in Alabama. He stated that the "party of FDR and Harry Truman has become the "party of cut and run"- in other words the Kerrys, Kennedys and Lamonts.

Uggh. He said the party of FDR are NOW the cut-and-run party, not that Democrats THEN were.

Liberals can't seem to get anything right - you hear exactly and only what you want to hear.

Yeah, I always thought that was ironic. FDR was a Liberal Democrat. With liberal policies he led America out of the great depression and through WWII. Why Democrats are labeled as bad managers of economy and weak on defense goes beyond me. Recently, neo-cons have been mismanaging the economy (running huge deficits) and totally messed up on Iraq, yet for some reason they are seen as better than the Democrats... go figure.

obviously you were too busy seething and whining to realize what he actually said. He said the party OF FDR (the party that had had a great platform of defense) has BECOME the party of cut and run (party of weakness). I know, lots of big words in that speech.

actually the Allies won the war...Britain, Russia, USA.

and it took a lot of convincing and loss of life in Europe, where the war started Sept. 1939, before we came into the war in Dec. 1941. We only came in after we were attacked at Pearl Harbor.

When did he say that? I say you lie. He said the Dems today are the cut and run, he did not say FDR. Typical liberal has to lie about things. Shame on you. Makes me so glad I grew up and dropped the dimocrat party at 19.

Dems circa 1960 = Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This much we pledge -- and more.

Dems circa 2006 Waaaahhhh, Buuuusshshhh, pull out the troops.

Just to keep the facts straight, he didn't say FDR was cut and run, he was talking about today's Democrats.

Yes you misheard -- he said the party of FDR and Truman had turned into the "cut and ...." party . The usual BS ...going for the voters who can only understand one syllable words.

If it wasn't for FDR the US would never have entered the war in the 1st place. Your assistance in helping to win the war was appreciated. But thank God for the Russians, most of the credit has to go to them.
