I agree with Kevin B, not all attorney's are crooks and people just bash them until they need one.
Yes, I may work for an attorney and he happens to be an @$$hole, but he also is probably one of the best damn lawyers out there. And no I'm not saying that because he signs my paychecks. I am saying this because he is, most lawyers don't want to take the time with a case unless its going to be an absolute money maker. Thats where lawyers get a bad rep. Well take a look at all the Vioxx, Premarin, Pacemaker, etc. case action suits that are out there. If the lawyer looses, he gets nothing! (ok nothing is a bit much, he does get expenses back) but what about the time they have put into these cases? You really think its easy to be a lawyer or even work for one....I'll take your flipping burgers for a day just for you to see the stress and the hell we go through...then you can tell me if attorney's really are crooks or if they are just trying to make aliving like everyone else.

and PS -- it takes money to make money.

you must have had a bad experience? Lawyers are not crooks, they uphold justice and are seekers of the truth. God bless them all. They are great and lovely people and always have their clients interest at heart. So do judges, they are magnificent and make a decent cup of tea when pushed. We should all hug a lawyer as they protect us from evil doers and rip of merchants as well as keep us healthy, inlike doctors. Lawyers know that cash puts a smile on your face and makes you live for a 100 years more. Hail the lawyers for they are great people.

Infact, they are underpaid and work incredibly hard for the little money that they get. I say, pay the lawyers more and provide them with big jars of honey each day to increase their sweetness. They should also get their shoes polished for free as it is very important to a case. Also, they should be allowed to bring their cats to court to keep them company and for protection against iffy clients who do not know that lawyers are universally the most important people on this earth. People should bow to lawyers when in their emminent presence and should never be able to look the lawyer straight in the eye or speak without being asked to do so as the lawyer clearly knows what is best because of their huge intelligence.

You know I am right.

Let's not forget "attorneys" are all seperate people so one bad experience doesn't speak for all! And there are lots of attorney's out there that are Probono-they work for the people that can't afford the attorney!!! Example-domestic violence! No honey - not all are crooks!!!!

Believe it or not, I do know a few good ones.

Example:

A friend of ours that is an attorney that fights for the rights of special education children.

Another friend of ours that represents children without parents...he lives like a poor man, but feels it's his calling.

They have good intentions, but it is our system that allows them to reap huge profits at the expense of the users of the system. Our state and federal laws can be ambiguous and the system favors the lawyers since most laws were drafted by elected lawyers. There are times when lawyers are not really needed and can be done by the average citizen.

Law school is three years. Year 1. Lying....Year 2. Cheating...Years 3. stealing. Then advanced optional Greed.

Why don't snakes bite attorneys? ... Professional countesy.

Why do they bury attorneys 300 feet deep? ... An EPA regulation.

Look for parallels in your own life.

Did you always start out as an imbecile or did you turn that way later?
