Just wondering, if you had a choice, what would your price tag be?

Huge banners on this new development that read: HUGE DISCOUNTS FOR OVER-65's
Is that discrimination towards under-65's?

I got no problem with free bus passes by the way. Most pensioners have paid taxes all their life and worked hard so they deserve their bus passes.
But that same logic don't go with house buying to me. I live in retirement county and all it means is that they come here to get a cheap deal, enjoy the NHS facilities and put nothing back into the county's economy other than their weekly shop at Sainsbury's for the well-off, or Morrissons for the not so well- off. (you never see them in Tesco in the same numbers)

A friend of mine is dating a guy who claims to be a local cop. I know a lot of the local cops who work for the agency he claims to work for, and NONE of them have ever heard of him. One cop friend of mine in particular is with the drug unit and knows all the undercover cops and he's never heard of him either. One of my friends said that post certification is required for someone to be an officer for the agency in question, and that it is a matter of public record. I've done some google-ing, but haven't been able to find a database online where I can check to see if he's post certified. I found the website for POST here in Georgia, but you can only pull up records on yourself, if you are already post certified. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to find out if he's really a cop? If he's lying, he's committing a felony. I am really concerned for my friend!

I am against Blair's policy and have always have been. In fact I have never voted for Blair since I am a socialist. (Old Labour)
But I defend the Home Secretary's right to speak on whatever subject he choses without veiled threats being made against him.
If I threatened someone I would be charged with disorder at least?
He was also asked why pick out Muslims?
Well I guess it must be because they like to being shown to everyone so that we know what they are doing in the name of their religion.
Apart from the person caught lighting his fuse on a plane, has there ever been anyone else other than Muslim?
When a witness reports a white man they don't spend an equal effort looking for all the colours under the sun.
Have we got to the point where the police can't question one group without questioning an equal number in all other groups?
The country's going mad.

And before anyone thinks I am a racist let me say that having researched religion I believe their religion to be authentic?
So I am not against Muslims but I am against those that use them for cover.

How about you?

Does our justice system truly seek out justice, the truth, blindly appying our laws to all equally? If so how does it attain these ideals? Or, is our justice system currently bankrupt and if so how has is broken and at what point is that breakdown most significant? Is it justice for an individual to go bankrupt defending against charges s/he is not guilty of, and should the government be required to re-emburse those who are vindicated? How would this positively and negitively affect our legal system and society?

I watched the "Resident's" sppech at the United Nations, yesterday, and could not see, that he said anything, of any real importance, except to reenforce the idea, that he knows nothing of what good effective diplomacy consists of!!! ~ When will Americans finally get fed up, with thier own appointed officials, making all of them look like the fool that he is???? ~ I suspect, the rest of the world knows, that America can do better!!! ~ Why can Americans not understand this???

Get this straight first of all, I am independent, but since voting independent is throwing my vote away I choose whoever I think will do a better job. I voted for Bush in first election and Kerry in the last election. But honestly, why should I vote Republican next time around?
