Were are seeing it already , The position of the head of the Justice Department and the chief law enforcement officer of the United States is held by the son of Mexican Immigrants, one of the second largest Cities, Los Angeles, in the U.S is run by a Mexican American, the State of California, with one of the largest Economies in the world is part run by a Mexican American, the Sheriff of Los Ageles is a Mexican American, the list goes on and on in every State of the U.S, some of the Fortune 500 companies in the States are run by Mexican Americans, and it has been proven that they make some of the greatest Leaders and Politicians. Oh and lets not forget the other Latino Leaders, like the Cuban U.S Secretary of Commerce and former Kellog's Chief, the list goes on with them too. So how long would you say?

In my eyes they are just Americans. They will do what every single politician in office has done, no better, no worse (well once you hit bottom the only way is up).

Mexicans have a very strong work ethic and "machismo" drive to be providers to their families. This same drive is what causes many Mexican descendants to want to own their own business, send their kids to prestigious schools, save money (cook at home, etc), help their extended families in business/real estate/education. Put all of that together, and you have the foundation of a decent politician/lawyer/etc.
Sure, it's cultural. Compare to the normal Euro-mut that can be found in politics, and you'll find that Mexican-descended people worked their way to the top, while European-descended people were normally born into it.

What is your point?
Frankly, the LA Mayor is a lot more radical than people understood, and there is a recall effort underway. However, generally, those people are Americans who just have a Mexican family history, as my family history is German. If Germany fights the US, there is no question I would be on Germany's side, that is ludicrous. Same with them.
46% of Hispanic voters voted to pass Arizona's proposition 200 cutting benefits to illegal immigrants. Even more, by polls, think illegal immigration is a serious problem, themselves.

As long as they are illegal it doesn't matter ,but it depends on how you look at it.Most of the people you speak of have nothing in common with the every day person of Mexican decent. They are just like the other legal Americans just trying to make it,pay their bills ,have fun etc. They are not obsessed with taking over the US .You and the people that are obsessed with that thought are so sad.Mexicans are marring ,whites, blacks,Asians etc so in a few there wont be a lot of any one nationality. So what happens then to your we will take over dream.its BS like the Aztlan and Marxist La Raza plans are .
Shall I start naming "whites" that are in the government,or blacks ,or all the other heritages, the list goes on much much longer. How long ,lol not in your life time or ours .We all will run the country as we all run it now.

We are already beginning to see a diverse government. Attorney General Roberto Gonzales holds one of the highest positions in political office. There are many more throughout the US that are in political office. Its just a matter of time before we have a descendant of Mexico as US President. It would be interesting to see who would take presidency first, a female, black or Mexican descendant.

Uh-kaaay, that proves my point exactly! This is not an "illegal immigration" issue. It's a race issue. It's just that a lot of bigots don't want any type of Mexicans, period! Legal or illegal.....I mean these are very successful people, and much more educated and successful than you'll ever be and you're still griping about them?

What difference does it make? Why do people make such a distinction between white and mexican immigrants? Other than the native americans you're all just as out of place as each other.

I dont think it will be much longer. The govenor of Wisconsin is being challenged for election by a hispanic descendant whose parents immigrants. I think it is great that hispanics are going to be getting into office. It might just help our economy with their point of view.

IF they are decendents of Mexicans then they are Americans. Why is it even an issue? If they can do the job well then who cares what their decent is. They are US citizens now. They are AMERICANS. It is estimated that by as early as 2019 hispanics will be the majority in this country. So get used to it white people.
