And the statistics quoted for abortion are for all abortions the vast majority of which are spontaneous, not induced. A small minority is for the health of the mother. If you are going to disallow abortion, why single out for death the fetuses who are the product of incest or rape? Are they not innocent also? What makes them less worthy of life? At that point, the stigma for the mother supercedes the baby? It is all a matter of society and judgment call.
By disallowing abortion, you would be assuring job security for prison guards in the future, but creating a tremendous drain on society.
If you thought you were going to gain sympathy with that photo, it certainly did not work on me. Try another tack.
Why, may I ask is this question in the Immigration section?

95% of abortions are due to poor health-care coverage and poor education.
This is why abortions were halved during the Clinton administration and more than doubled during the Bush administration. If people have good health coverage, they can afford birth control. If people have good education, they know that babies are concieved by having unprotected sex.
During the pilot program in Texas for abstinance only sex-education, it was shown that over 60% of the students taking the course believed that pregnancy happened only if a woman swallowed sperm, after all, how could the baby end up in her stomach? lol.
Students takind absinance only sex ed were shown to be more likely to a) have unprotected sex, b) have premarital sex, c) get pregnant, and d) have an abortion.
The vast majority of abortions are performed on people with little or no health insurance, or insurance that did not cover birth control.
The vast majority of abortions are performed on lower-income people.
Think about it.

HEY DUMBAZZ, THIS IS IMMIGRATION...
With that being said, who in the hell made you the ultimate authority on this topic. What have you done to further your position aside from blabbing here? I doubt nothing. You're just a lazy wannabe political zealot who does nothing to actually support his claims in society, he merely runs his trap on Answers like that's such an inspiring feat.
I laugh at you and your false sense of grandeur. Go join a friggin Pro-life crusade and stop bumping your gums here.
Good day.

the baby also did not ask to be raised by a 14 year old kid living on welfare who is completely unable to raise a child. The baby also did not ask to be thrown into an adoption agency where they may or may not get raised in a healthy environment.
Abortion isn't pro-murder, it's pro-choice, as it should stay.

I was very close to someone who did get an abortion as a teenager and it probably saved her life because her father would have literally killed her if he found out she was pregnant. I don't think it's your decision to make for these girls. Yes I know that it sometimes is abused, but it is a constitutionally protected right.
