If you want to get back at the people behind the terrorist attacks on 9/11 remember to vote in 2008 for the Presidential candidate tough on terror, and who will promote tougher border security as well as airport and sea port security. Vote for a candidate who will be willing to take the fight to the terrorists and won't be reactive.
Make your voice heard and demand the candidates make these issues a priority or get used to the horrors you read about occurring in other parts of the world becoming part of your daily life.

Revenge?
Casualties in Afghanistan & Iraq at least 268,013 killed, 565,756 seriously injured.
So thats about 100 times more people from "the other side" killed than died in the Twin Towers attack. Not revenge enough for you?
Most of those, in fact statistically 100% of those, had nothing to do with the attack, nothing whatsoever. They are largely women, children and the elderly. Wanna kill some more kids? Perhaps you could import Afghans for Death Race 2000 style killings live on Fox?
Iraq had almost nothing to do with AlQaida UNTIL the current US invasion, now more and more Iraqis are supporting and joining them.
If you actually think the USA is somehow the victim in all this perhaps you should read some news, not what you see on TV or the newspapers in the US (unless you read the Wall Street Journal - rich people and money makers don't stand for fake news). Your nation IS the problem, my own(UK) is just as responsible, for kowtowing to your corporate military government.
I am sad for all those who lost people in the attack but if you go around killing people, stealing their nations, resources, national identities, utilities and forcing them to adhere to your economic and political model of the world, eventually someone is going to give you a bloody nose.
The US is so protected on its continent its citizens don't understand horror or war because its always somewhere else, why is the US always fighting somewhere else? Can't be for defensive reasons as its - somewhere else!
How many defensive wars has USA been involved in, in the last 50 years?
To quote your nations greatest living thinker and political writer, Noam Chomsky.
*
"By far, the most acts of terrorism in that time (1980s) were either committed by the United States or U.S. backed," he said. "The events of Sept. 11 are not new. What's new is the direction the guns are pointing."
Chomsky distinguished the victims of Sept. 11 from those of other attacks, noting most of the dead were civilians.
"Sept. 11 is a historic event because of the choice of the victims, not the nature of the crime," he said.

Vietnam
Laos
East Timor
Middle East
South America
All of the above have suffered directly though US foreign policy, by suffering i do mean genocide, starvation and war, not couldn't get a burger because MacDonalds shut early.

The US could have prevented the twin towers disaster, they had the info on the terrorists and the imminent attack by airplanes but not the balls between them to do anything about it. Should've watched the BBC2 programme last week, it was an eye opener!! I think it's called shutting the gate after the horse has bolted.

By living life to the fullest & allowing people to maintain their social freedoms. By closing the borders and removing peoples freedoms, the terrorists are contiuing to win.
There is nothing that we can ever do to 'get back' at the people involved. Nothing can be done to make it right, and by spending billions of dollars, and killing thousands of innocent people, we just spread the terror.
Everyone around the world was shocked and outraged by what happened on 9/11, but the response isn't to try and kill everybody who doesn't look the same, or have the same beliefs as the 'average' American.

Are you sure you even know who to get back at ??? , if you believe the mainstream media with all those (in)vested interests you might come to the conclusion they want you to come to. Do some research , you'll be surprised who was actually behind it! and who knew about it PRIOR to the event. Here is a tip, always look to who benefits from any given event, you will be surprised ! Start with this video if you want. its is 1.5 hrs long but very informative ! its called Loose Change 2nd edition and you can find it on Google here:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7866929448192753501
it does throw up a lot of questions that need answers.

All we have done is wreak havoc on an entire undeserving country for the sake of revenge for the last several years. Get a grip on reality girly. And I think I saw someone on here who's avatar looked latino, yet she was talking about shutting down our borders? Whats that all about? Self hate?
On another note, maybe we should think less about revenge and more about prevention. And I don't mean homeland security, I mean getting our greedy, power hungry butts out of EVERYONE elses country!

Maybe America needs to look at it's attitude to the rest of the world. I have no time for any religiously motivated nuts (and I include born again Christians in this) but you really do yourselves no favours by trying to make the rest of the world follow your own rather tarnished idea of freedom and democracy.
The best way to defeat extremism is to live alife without bigotry and respect other countries sovereignty.

There's a saying that the best revenge is to live well.
The best thing we can do is stick to our tenets of freedom, democracy, tolerance and reason - and show that in the end they will triumph over bigotry, fanaticism and violence.
(BTW, I would have to say that Messrs Bush and Blair have made a pretty bad start on that score, bringing in draconian measures and sending their armies all over the place and causing the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians)

Our best chance at fighting terrorists is to continue, and strengthen, our relationship with Israel.
In the Bible God say's regarding Israel "I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who curse you..."
For years we watched from a distance as Israel fought terrorists daily. On 9-11 America took a blood covenant with Israel, we are now invested in the war against terror, we can no longer ignore it.
However the key to our survival is Israels survival no matter how hard the War gets.
