The reason so many people hate Americans is the governments position on many things, who they make friends with and who they say are enemies. Do you even know someone from Iran or Afghanistan and yet many common people there shout Death to America! I don't know anyone there so how can they hate me?

Right after the news was spread around the world there were rallies, celebrations by the peace-loving muslims. Not just in places like afghanistan or iraq, but also in europe, indonesia, egypt, and other countries including some of our arab allies such as saudi arabia and jordan.

Right now the muslims are angry that the Pope quoted a historical passage to an audience of university students. They are rioting again, burning effigies of the pope and of course they are burning our flag again.. When did it become ok for them to be so angry with the world all the time but it is wrong when an american citizen says something negative to/about them in response to what they are doing and have done? This apparent double-standard just seems so..wrong.. I hope that the Pope does not apolegize since he has nothing to apolegize for.

In case you've already seen this, I am just reposting it because I think I miscategorized it earlier..sorry. =)

Liberals made America what it is today. They pay their taxes and work here like everyone else. They fight in the military. Cons need to quit whining and show them gratitude.

Should the Geneva Convention and all its rules be suspended when we go to war with a country that does not subscribe to it? Our military is facing enemy combatants firing from behind women and children. Should we suspend the Geneva Convention so everything is on a more equal footing?

Afterall, you could write to the next President and have him answer your personal question. There would be a permanent record of what their answer would be. You could cover every American citizen from around the globe. It would be very cheap to do, but time consuming. Right now how many of you have ever spoken to or asked W. a question and got an answer back?

Has anyone filed an MSPB appeal to recover their federal job after being wrongly terminated? I am in this situation now. I am reluctant to hire an attorney as they are expensive and often shifty or likely to take my money and provide little or no service. (My apologies to any scrupulous attorneys reading this) What is your experience with this process? Thanks a lot.

you saw a shadow in the corner of your room. Then the shadow...which is has a shape of a man walks (moves) slowly to your bedside looks directly at you, then turns and walks through the wall.

Then the next day, at night, you hear a man laughing (mature, deep voice) and says, get out. You walk into the room in which you think the voice came from and the same shadow looks you dead in the eye...what would you do?

The only thing that shadow would see is my butt....cuz ill be outta my house b4 it even starts to move.

When will the American people, the citizens of the United States of America be able to vote for President instead of allowing some dude from some college that never has graduates do it for him? Isn't it time to have real democracy in the United States of America?

"When those who dissent are told time and time again---as we will be, if not tonight by the President, then tomorrow by his portable public chorus-that he ispreserving our freedom, but that if we use any of it, we are somehow un-American....When we are scolded, that if we merely question, we have "forgotten the lessons of 9/11"....look into this empty space behind me and the bi-partisanship upon which this administration also did not build, and tell me:
Who has left this hole in the ground?
We have not forgotten, Mr. President.
You have.
May this country forgive you???

How do you think the scernario would play out if Iran, Al-Queda, or some other rouge radical Islamic State hit inside the US with a nuclear bomb? How would we respond? Do you think the EU, China, and Russia would ask us not to strike? Do you think the globalized finance and monetary system would be thrown into chaos? Just something to think about. - C

This summit includes Iran, Syria, Zimbobwae, North Korea, and Venenzuela. If this isn't like the axis of power then prove me wrong. We are on the verge of WW3. It is a remake of ww2 all over again. There are muslims doing the hitler salute and saying death to Israel, America, and U.K. Let's start a petition and send it to the president to get out of Iraq and focus and prepare our forces for a bigger war.
