Liberals made America what it is today. They pay their taxes and work here like everyone else. They fight in the military. Cons need to quit whining and show them gratitude.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a Liberal. Being Liberal is a idea that you have the right to choose. You can control your life, without being judged. The Conservatives do have an tendency to attack us, but all we can do is be open to there opinions, no matter how cruel they might be.

First of all, liberals did not make America what it is today. They made the mess it is today. Specifically,

1. The liberals on the courts have decided to legislate from the bench. There are thousands of cases. Roe v Wade is the worst in modern era.

2. Liberals have defended terrorists so much that they feel the terrorists need rights. They quote the Geneva Convention, even though it only applies to people fighting under a country.

3. Liberals run the government schools. Proof of this is the teacher's union have never supported a Republican for President. They shove their agenda on kids.

4. Liberals are soft on crime. They want to coddle criminals. They refuse to punish. They believe that sex offenders can be rehabilitated.

There are so many examples of liberals and how they screw up things. I also think that the extreme religious right is just as screwed up. You can listen to Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, and many others to get more specifics if you so desire.

There's nothing wrong with being a Liberal. Or a Conservative. Or anything. It's about conflicting ideals and values. Some people can't stand to hear anything that might challenge or discredit their own beliefs; those are the ones that send the pretty letters. Don't worry, I've gotten two already myself. Keep saying what you think anyway.

Liberals want to turn the country into a socialist state, with the government controlling every facet of our lives. They want government health care. Just think, going to the doctor could be as much fun as dealing with the MVA.

They want higher taxes and more government regulations. They want to "protect" the country from businesses. They do not believe in a free market. They think that most people are unable to make the best choices for themselves, so they need to be forced to do what the liberals think is best.

They blame the USA for everything that is wrong, and give no credit for the good things in this great country! They do not think that the security of this country is important enough to protect it, they would rather worry about the enemy than the USA.

Abandon the labels of conservative and liberal! Think about each issue on your own, get the right information, and just do the right thing.

Too many Cons & Libs think you have to do what they say and believe all of their issues to be one of them. Who cares!

I voted for Ross Perot! Twice!! Ha ha ha! I voted against the Tom & Jerry two-party system because I was tired of it...and I got Bill Clinton. Twice.

If you read any of George Washington's works, you will see how far down the tubes politicians have fallen in this country. GW rocked! He was the man who could have declared himself King of America and what did he do? He stepped down and obeyed the Constitution. He warned us about political parties and the damage they do to a nation; he knew all those years ago what would happen if we weren't vigilant.

The media are whipping up a media storm trying to get Libs & Cons fighting; rise above it.

Liberals tend not to blindly namecall. They seem to favor critical thinking over knee-jerk judgements regarding differences of opinion.

While in the past I've considered myself moderate, I have recently been labelled a liberal for dissenting with the presidental junta. So call me a liberal and I will wear the badge proudly.

I don't think conservatives are bad. I think there is a bad element on the extremes that give conservatives a bad name. If I were to choose a label for this bad element, I would choose 'neo-conservative'. There are good Republicans. See past the confusion that has been created.

The last time liberals were in charge of all 3 branches of the federal government -- the Sixties -- the country ended up in much worse shape than the way the liberals found the country when they came into power. By 1969, the country was far more cynical and decadent than it had been in 1960. So being liberal was eventually seen, by 1972, as a liability.

Nothing: if being an elitist, condescending, snob who has no real idea of how the world works is okay then by all means be a liberal.

Liberals did not make America what it is today.
Point 1
Growing up in the '70s, I personally witnessed the liberal attitude toward crime result in the deaths of thousands of minorities every year across this country. That is no longer the case. Conservatives changed police enforcement and we are all much better for it.

Point 2
Liberals are very smug about knowing what to do with other peoples well earned money, without any proven results of success.

Response to Questioner.
I don't send emails or anything like that. I just write light political banter.

Nothing is really wrong with it. We can thank liberal thinking for a great many good things in this country. Same can be said of conservatives.

The problem with either side is the extreme element. Extreme liberal and conservative ideas/policies can be just wacko and give each ideology a bad name. As with any type of group, stereotypes creep in too.
