Has anyone filed an MSPB appeal to recover their federal job after being wrongly terminated? I am in this situation now. I am reluctant to hire an attorney as they are expensive and often shifty or likely to take my money and provide little or no service. (My apologies to any scrupulous attorneys reading this) What is your experience with this process? Thanks a lot.

I don't know this author but it looked like a good assessment of the differences between MSPB and Arbitration.

My suggestion is to contact the local bar association or the state bar association. Most local bar assns have a lawyer referral service where those lawyers tend to have better reputations.

While I have not experienced the process, I have a few friends who have, some were disillusioned with the process, one was satisfied.

Good Luck!

This is one of our older articles from a previous website. Here is a new one that describes the MSPB process
