Right after the news was spread around the world there were rallies, celebrations by the peace-loving muslims. Not just in places like afghanistan or iraq, but also in europe, indonesia, egypt, and other countries including some of our arab allies such as saudi arabia and jordan.

Right now the muslims are angry that the Pope quoted a historical passage to an audience of university students. They are rioting again, burning effigies of the pope and of course they are burning our flag again.. When did it become ok for them to be so angry with the world all the time but it is wrong when an american citizen says something negative to/about them in response to what they are doing and have done? This apparent double-standard just seems so..wrong.. I hope that the Pope does not apolegize since he has nothing to apolegize for.

In case you've already seen this, I am just reposting it because I think I miscategorized it earlier..sorry. =)

To the person who asked about people in europe...yes, muslims in europe cheered. It was deemed a miracle by the islamic faith. Sugarcoating it by saying that only a few people felt this way towards us only serves to blind us to the truth. Here is a link to one of the yahoo articles about this..
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060915/ap_on_re_mi_ea/pope_muslims

The pope quoted from a book recounting a conversation between 14th-century Byzantine Christian Emperor Manuel Paleologos II and a Persian scholar on the truths of Christianity and Islam.

"The emperor comes to speak about the issue of jihad, holy war," Benedict said. "He said, I quote, 'Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.'"

People are going to die over what you have just read. Being a muslim is almost akin to being a member of a cult. Anyways, hope I answered all the questions.

Don't forget the Israelis who were dancing around in Liberty Park and Posing for pictures with lit lighters with the disaster in the background. SC**W the whole Middle East. Where do any of them get off rejoicing over one's misfortune?

i became driving to paintings while a morning DJ reported a airplane had hit between the WTC towers, however the way he reported it i assumed he meant a splash airplane. Then I have been given to paintings (this became formerly the 2d airplane hit) and sat in a 2-hour assembly wherein none persons knew what became happening. on the top of the assembly, the director introduced she had merely heard that a airplane had crashed on the White homestead backyard. i did not even make the relationship with the airplane crash i might heard approximately on the radio. Then I went to envision the internet and each little thing became down. My dad stated as me all freaked out. That night I have been given quite severe (as often used) and watched the coverage, freaking out. My female chum and that i've got been given back mutually the next day. That became approximately it.

I couldnt agree w/ u more. the radical muslims are the PROBLEM of this world, bottom line!!! And u know what, its sad, but, the affliation of Muslims and Terrorism isnt all that biast. From 9/11 (i suggest u see WORLD TRADE CENTER movie, its EXCELLENT, not political in anyway, very very good, and reminded me of the horror on that day, there was a scene where I can say for the first time in MY LIFE, my jaw ACTUALLY dropped, i'm not kidding u) to the Madrid Bombings, to the bombings on the train systems in India and London, the hostage in Russia, and the current thwarted terror plot at london heathrow that would have been BIGGER than 9/11, and not to mention the oppression of women, suicide bombers, and all these anti-American anti-western islamic extremist groups, e.g. Al-Qaeda (Osama bin Laden), Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, Jihad, etc.----all these things have to do w/ MUSLIMS

yeah, there obviously are good peace seeking muslims in the world, and i live in metro-detroit, dearborn having the highest number of muslims in the world, outside the middle east of course. so, i know that if i go into a middle eastern restaurant, im not going to get BLOWN up, but the problem, are the radical muslims in the middle east, and SADDAM HUSSEIN was a MAJOR THREAT to our country---proof of WMD's----Iraqi Document IZSP-2003-00000008 (just google it, and u'll find it) proves there were WMD's because it says that ONE WEEK before Bush invaded, Saddam gave his last order saying "All people and companies in the private and mized sectors are forbidden from importing and producing Biological, Chemical and Nuclear weapons and materials. All Ministries involved must carry out this order, and must carry out this order, and must prosecute violaters." PLUS< the satellite pics of the 50 trucks that went to Syria and the document that goes along w/ that, and theres a document--ISGQ-2003-00004530----that proves there are chemical weapons buried by a FLEET of cement trucks in Fallujah---plus the fact that Saddam Hussein had MONEY, POWER, CONTROL, committed GEINOCIDE, and hated America, all these things combined equals one thing----THREAT!!!!!! so, for everyone out there that says there are no WMD"S, rethink ur thought process

yeah, the flag burnings themselves are SICK and im tired of it and no, the Pope doesnt have to apologize for anything-----this upcoming election not only this november, but esp. the pres. election in 08 is really going to be interesting, it will basically decide how the world is going to be, and its disgusting how all the liberals are bashing BUsh in this horrible time at war in the Middle East, because they are basically promoting the propogana of the terrorists, im tired of it, they can all go play in traffic, haha, k, im tired, how the documents help u, cya

ahhh yes, but we must remember that Muslims are a peace loving people. My dying azz they are. Islam is a religion built on violence. They are nothing but a bunch of lying cut throat sons a beaches. And I'm talking every single one of them. There is no peace loving Islam. What I'd like to know is what the hell would the muslims do if the entire world all at once converted to Muslims? Who would they want to kill next? I say close the doors to immigration and start throwing them out of our country.

You cannot lump people into one big category like that. Yes, there are some fundamentalist Muslims who are angry with the US and who get a little crazy when someone says something negative about Islam. BUT, there are also very normal, well-adjusted Muslims who don't hate the US and don't get crazy and violent. If what the Pope said was offensive to either of those groups, he should apologize. Why is it okay for him to say offensive things? Because he's the pope? C'mon.

For those muslims who DO NOT protest or burn our flag, I say, hey its cool, we can coexist. For those (smaller number of people) who are against us, I saw F.U.

Who says you can't speak out against the extreme element? Who says you can't burn an Iraqi, saudi, hezbollah, PLO or whaever flag-- you have freedom of speech in this country. Go ahead and protest those people, nobody is stopping you.

What was the quote by the Pope??? I'd like to see that--

Have you forgotten that the government is an expert at lieing. Many of those "celebrations" were actully from festivals that they have yearly, and many not even on the same day.
