Many people seem to think that the president actually controls the price of gas. These may be the same people who act as though they have a constitutional right to low gas prices!

Halliburton, sold key nuclear-reactor components to a private Iranian oil company as recently as 2005, using offshore subsidiaries to circumvent U.S. sanctions. Cheney, who now claims to want to stop Iran from getting nukes, was president of Halliburton in the mid-1990s, at which time he may have advocated business dealings with Iran, in violation of U.S. law.

I am currently thinking about joining the army reserve. I am in college and want to be in a combat oriented field. I know they don't have infantry or other specific combat positions for obvious reasons. What types of jobs can I get related to combat. I am thinking about a combat engineer any others you know of?

They won't release any surveillance video that captures the plane ACTUALLY going into the pentagon (although there are at least 3 tapes confiscated by the FBI having the info)....how do planes completely disentegrate...the first time in history that it ever happened was at the Pentagon and Shanksville...twice in one day. It was also the first time in history that 3 steel reinforced buildings (WTC 1, 3, 7) collapsed after a fire. Why don't people question these events and more? How does that honor the victims of 9/11? Watch this video...it will change your opinion about a lot of things that happened that day...it sure changed mine.

I can't in good conscience not share the link...it's a long video, but HIGHLY worth the time!

VIENNA (Reuters) - U.N. inspectors have protested to the U.S. government and a congressional committee about a report on Iran's nuclear work, calling parts of it "outrageous and dishonest," according to a letter obtained by Reuters.

The letter recalled clashes between the IAEA and the Bush administration before the 2003 Iraq war over findings cited by Washington about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction that proved false, and underlined tensions over Iran's dossier.

"These measures will:

-- Provide more border patrol agents

-- Strengthen security through fencing and additional infrastructure

-- Make enforcement stricter at our borders

-- Enhance state and local law enforcement authority

The time to address this border security emergency is now - before Congress leaves for the November elections.

House Republicans' "Border Security Now" September Agenda

Strengthening Security Through Fencing and Additional Infrastructure

-- Secure Fence Act: Authorizes the construction of 700 miles of reinforced fencing along the southwest border. Mandates that the Department of Homeland Security achieve operational control over the entire border through a "virtual fence" that employs cameras, ground sensors, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Provides the necessary authority to border personnel to disable fleeing vehicles.

I am not a republican but I am curious what ticks people off the most about dems? Is it the whole "dem's believe in big government and are ignorant of 'big brother'", is it "they have low morals", is it "they are not very christian", is it "they have ideas that are too optimistic and starry eyed (unrealistic)" or is it that "they are more socialist slanting"...IF YOU HAD TO PICK ONE of the these reasons as being most important above the others, which one is it? Or if you have a different one please share it.

MI5 (like in the James Bond movies!) and more recently MI6 appear in the international news from time to time. Do they have different jobs or is there an overlap? Is it like the FBI and CIA distinction, or is there more to it than that?
