Is it obligatory in your country? How long is the period?

In Turkey it is obligatory and every 20 y/o Turkish guys have to spend 15 months for the military service. If u r graduted from a university and u r lucky, u can spend 6 months.

I finished (Allah'a şükür) this obligatory service in 1999 by giving my 15 worthy months and i m still sad about its being obligatory.

IAEA: U.S. report on Iran 'dishonest' By GEORGE JAHN, Associated Press Writer
28 minutes ago

VIENNA, Austria - A recent House of Representatives committee report on Iran's nuclear capability is "outrageous and dishonest" in trying to make a case that Tehran's program is geared toward making weapons, a senior official of the U.N. nuclear watchdog has said.

The letter, obtained by The Associated Press on Thursday outside a 35-nation board meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency, says the report is false in saying Iran is making weapons-grade uranium at an experimental enrichment site, when it has in fact produced material only in small quantities that is far below the level that can be used in nuclear arms.

Bush is lying about Iran too! How can you support this person? He is off the deep end!

The average americam male makes $12.50 a hour ,however all forms of taxation diminish the workers pay to $6.25 a hour .This would equate to around $1,000 a month take home pay In typical divorces $400.00 or more a month is normal for child support.I am saddened at the fact that over 60 percent of child support dues go are paid from men that rack in less than 1,500 dollars a month ,leaving them pennliess and in jail and resorting to crime.I am not no where close to a low income bracket and have no children but feel sadden to see from my studies which shocked my that men a often denied housing and medical .Women are allowed free housing ,childcae ,and can get the new car ,and live in a paradise in the hood or a decent neighborhood.I am a member of the ACLU and I am currently writting a script for L.A film and a book .Women and our children deserve our best but the goverment can not continue to deprive the people that helped start this country .Men,..R WE FREE?OR R WE SLAVES??????????

U.S has a terrible war history.

Nagasaki and Hiroshima were nuked by the U.S, which killed and injured hundreds of thousands more civilians than any other military targets in history. The U.S had also invaded Iraq for the wrong reasons and resulted in numerous innocent civilian deaths.

i "think" it should be up to each individual, not all people together + goverment agenst one. i dont understand why people do the "bombings" the do, i think its just more intolerance but i realy am clueless about this. every one keeps talking about it and has made it a burrning thot on my mind. i think asking this question is more worth the 5 points than the last 3,(personaly,) no "intense-hot-topic/point or offence intended, just want to see the facts and opinions of the masses.

the first ammendment specifically states

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

it says they shall may no law!!!

why then, do local governments require permits to march or assemble peacefully? i mean... if federal law supercedes state or local.... can this be a legal defense in court?

This woman gets hurt at her place of work. The place didn't have workman's comp., so they go to court. It went all the way to the Supreme Court, and she was given a small cash settlement AND lifetime medical. The settlement was paid...but she's never heard anything else about the lifetime medical...now she's hit rock bottom because of the high medical cost. Her lawyers won't communicate with her, and they refuse to do anything about what was ordered in court - the lifetime medical. Anyone have any idea what one can do in this situation. Would appreciate any help offered.

Is it possible to return to court and ask that restaining orders against you be dropped? It's been 1 1/2 years since they were granted. I haven't ever violated them. I have completely turned my life around since then and have no desire to see these people but don't want my name to come up as a restrained person anymore. I also want to go back to the shooting range but both orders prohibit me from using a gun.
If it's possible to have these dropped, what forms would I file for the courts?

I have followed Californias Senators to see what they are going to do about Border Security and I have emailed them many times to try and get them to vote for the people and not for special interest and with Feinstein it is the wine makers she will do anything to make sure the wine makers have their grape pickers including letting illegal aliens cross the border and if we put up a fence it will make it more difficult for them to get here. Senator Boxer is voting the same way and after saying the take Border Security seriously they are voting against all efforts to tighten up our Border. What they don't understand is if we contol the immigrants that come into our country we will be able to have enough to do the work that is needed and we will not allow to many into our country and this will allow us to balance our budgets once again it is about responsible government!Vote for the best Candidate and vote the incumbent out!!! Feinstein and Boxer and their special interest must go! SAY NO!
