This woman gets hurt at her place of work. The place didn't have workman's comp., so they go to court. It went all the way to the Supreme Court, and she was given a small cash settlement AND lifetime medical. The settlement was paid...but she's never heard anything else about the lifetime medical...now she's hit rock bottom because of the high medical cost. Her lawyers won't communicate with her, and they refuse to do anything about what was ordered in court - the lifetime medical. Anyone have any idea what one can do in this situation. Would appreciate any help offered.

Contact the trial court that entered the final order of judgment. Tell the clerk you need to speak to the judge regarding enforcing the order and explain you've attempted to have your lawyers do so. Don't whine, but tell the judge exactly what they've failed to pay, and make sure you have documentation.

Get a new lawyer and report the other lawyers to the state bar association.

If she can't afford a new lawyer, there are probably legal aid places she can go. But she really, really needs to see a lawyer.
