I just saw the movie "Vendetta" While I was watching it I saw many similarities to todays world. What do you think the message of the movie was?

I have seen a number of beggars - mostly young men- who sit sporting better trainers than I've got! Ive also seen them with mp3 players and most of them can afford to smoke....where do they get the money from? Surely they dont make that much begging and if they do, then why are they still homeless?
Do you think beggars who cover their legs with blankets are hiding their trainers for more pity?

I want somebody to protect me from my govt. isnt that funny when the first duty of a us president is to protect the people. well i would like to outsource that job to another govt. because I dont feel safe at all with the bush admin. or current u.s. leadership. Im contemplating moving abroad. Did anyone see that muppet who was getting chased by the police for robbing a car which he later crashed, he fled the scene, climbed on a rooftop and demanded a KFC with a ltr bottle of tango. What is going on. He got it. He sould have got a bloody smack.

I just wonder why people don't come together as one voice anymore. Why the don't protest as a group when so many people are all against the same things. Until we stand as one, we will never change the status quo. Did we just become lazy or selective?

smoking costs the NHS in scotland £140 million a year.
21% of people smoke in scotland (about 1'500'000 people) This means
If the 21% all smoke an average of 10 cigarettes a day which would cost them about £2.20- they are paying £1.50 of this as tax - then they will be paying £2'250'000 a DAY to the government- the majority of which goes straight to NHS funding. This means that the government is making almost 9 BILLION pounds a year from smokers in Scotland......dont you think they are paying their own health costs as well as contributing to others?????????

I believe that the rightful role of government is to maintain order and property. I feel that the government has no right to put their hand in my pocket so that I can support the idle, the ignorant, the untrustworthy, the never do wells etc. Why should those that contribute the least benefit the most? The middle classes have become the new slave class; with the underclass the new masters.
