I think there does need to be a check on people to see if they support criminal activities - regardless of ethnicity.

But I am all for immigrants coming to Australia.

Let's Say I Break into Your House

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!! It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.............

" Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.

Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part). If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest, um, except for well, you know.

And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-housebreaker.

Oh yeah, and I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me. Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?!

The early settlement of this country was by either convict or immigation. Irish and Poms built this country. There was conflict over whether you were a pro or a catholic. Thank god that changed. My mother recently told me that is why her parents hated my dad, cos he was a Catholic. Dad died on 21 June.

Australia is providing billions of dollars in aid to places like timor, new guinea and the south pacific, why? Border Protection against the Indonesians first and foremost. They have a wantok system over there which means they do not give a **** about their country, only their clans, which has caused devestating effects on their economy, they practise christian beliefs so they say and those christian beliefs mean incestous situations and children as young as 12 being sexually active, due to long term abuse, but hey go to church every sunday and ya sins are forgiven, what a tragedy.l

Immigration I do not have a problem with, I respect all races, and I agree with our Prime Minister about the new policy of learn English in 4 years and we will consider you application for residency. Nothing wrong with that at all.

The word "Integration" is paramount to all newcomers to this country and they should understand that before coming here.

I love the Greeks and Italians, I remember when we used to call them wogs, an absolute form of disrespect handed down by our father's. I do not call them wogs now. They are now a loved and respected integrated part of the aussie race.

Then in this country came the Vietnamese and we used to call them slopeheads. Heroin drug traffickers are mostly vietnamese. I do not have the same respect for them as I do the Eoropeans.

And now the country is receiving Muslims that entrench the detention centres and treat the staff like **** because the satff see the way the men treat their women and children. we have witnessed trading children for sexual favours to them throwing their children onto the razor wire fences (this is not bullshit this is fact) in many riots that have occured. They live and breathe by the Koran, If any of you can get a copy of a book called Mosques and Miracles, it will really frighten you as to what their world plan is. They are taking over it beautifully, with hatred in their vision of all westerners.

And then there is the people from the South Pacific, their elders are absolutely beautiful, their children are thugs and hang around in gangs and beat the living **** out of anyone they choose.

We are not a racist country, all we want is for people to get on together with one other. Religon does not play a part in the majority in this country. If poeple choose to go to church every sunday that is their perogative to do so, however, most people will tell you they have their own beliefs and their own higher power. That is fine, they keep it too themselves and life goes on.

Situation is different, Australia started out life as a penal colony. Thats why nobody wanted to go there. Illegal aliens want to come here to skim money off our economy and send it to there home countries. And they are a burden on everyones Tax money. Plus the most recent immigrants, don't want to integrate into our society. They don't want to learn the language. In fact they have become quite militant about it. The borders need to be sealed!

It's mainly for security sake. Look, since 9-11 it's only common sense that every Country including Australia should at least know who is coming in.
I know some have played the race card and claimed that we want to end immigration all together. That's just rhetoric. Anyone is welcome here, we just need to know who you are.
And the whole "They do jobs Americans won't do" B.S. doesn't fly when we've got record number welfare receipients who would certainly pick that lettuce if it meant they weren't gonna get their Government check unless they do.

I make this answer sweet and simple. The fall of Sumer, Old & New Babylon, Assriya The Medes, Romans, Sicily, Mayans, Aztecs, Incas, Native Americans, and Texas all happened because of unchecked settlement of foreigners within sovereign nations. These people were either weakened to the point of being ripe for the taking or one day the immigrants look up and realized that there was more of them then natives and said this is ours now. We did it to Mexico and they are certainly going to repay the favor if we allow this to continue.

When a country has a gigantic border and people sneak in, it means that the country doesn't control what's going on inside its own borders. For instance in Lebanon Hezbollah is lobbing bombs to pis_ off Israel and Israel holds Lebanon accountable for something that the Lebanese government didn't do and Hezbollah does whatever it can to get rid of Israel, so it's a mess.. I really feel sorry for Lebanon, because of Hezbollah Lebanon gets beat up. This is a perfect example of what happens when a country cannot control who is coming in and out of The country.

Allowing immigrants in isn't the problem. If they are coming in illegally that is. While they should be given a chance to rectify their status if they don't then they should be deported. Illegal immigration costs everyone in the country legitamately. Health care, education, insurance etc...

I see you are from down under. I live in the states (N.J.) Take a look at how bad we have it. We have towns that have been taken over by the immigrants. Thankfully the town put a stop to it and made it illegal to be illegal. Look up Riverside N.J. (usa) If they come in legally...my arms are open. If not...STAY OUT
