I just wonder why people don't come together as one voice anymore. Why the don't protest as a group when so many people are all against the same things. Until we stand as one, we will never change the status quo. Did we just become lazy or selective?

My husband is a soldier and I support him and his fellow mates 100%. My question was merely a question. Where in America did we change so much that we sit back and think that voting solves everything? I vote. I am more patriotic that most Americans. How many days a week do you stand for the national anthem and respect it? I do it eight times in a week. Did you wear a flag on 9-11? I did. My kid did. I am askling the question on the basis that so many whine they don't agree with the war but no one has stood up loudly against it as a group. It is a question of politics, political control, laziness, lack of care or concern for those who are dying in a war we don't belong. I ask because where is the turning point in history that people suddenly were above protesting. Demonstations are a right that we don't utilize. Mass Media polls show that over 50% of the population don't agree with the war. This isn't a call to arms for people to blow up buildings, it is a question to make people think.

As a veteran I can say only this. The Vietnam demonstrations were the worst years of American history. Protest the war fine, but do not protest the soldiers like they did then!

You could always join with Cindy Sheehans group. I think more people than you realize support the adminstration and the war in Iraq.

The minority is more silent than the majority of people who support our President. The media cannot stir up the masses like they used to.

Lissa...

If you want to change the status quo then vote.

If you want to divide this country even more than it is then keep doing what you are doing. It is kinda ironic that you want to "stand as one" when what you are proposing would only "divide the whole."
