I think we all did. I also think a little bit of each of us died inside that day, along with 3,000 people who didn't deserve to.

I did I remember it like it was yesterday. I heard the first plane had on the radio and was thinking a major fluke had happened. Then as I was getting out of the car on my way to work (my second day and orientation at that) I heard of the second plane. I was asstonished but nothing thinking anything. We get to orientation and it's stupid stuff... at about an hour after the second plane hit we were let out for a break and I called upstairs to where my mother worked to see if she had heard about it. She just started crying saying Carolyn was in the north tower...all I could think of was her coworker and maybe she was on vacation and she said no my aunt Carolyn was. I shrank to my knees started crying and my mom just came down there in a rush I still had the phone in my hand crying hysterically when my mom got there I actually fainted in her arms (luckily I was working at a hospital). My uncle was in VA at the time and drove stright up there it took two days to find out that she was ok and as a family we all stayed at my grandparents until we heard something. The north tower's plane directly hit her office actually but her company also had offices on the 44th floor where she was at the time having a meeting thank God. I still can't watch footage of it because of the terror I'm just not there yet it makes me cry if I do to this day.

I did. I come from a strong military background and I knew what was at stake for my family and I. It was a sad day. I'm proud to say that all of my family and friends are currently back safely in the states.

I didn't cry; I barely even cared. Before you start to say anything...

...I didn't understand what was happening at the time. It's the mere innocence of being a child that prevented me from understanding deeply what was going on.

I was shocked more than anything, 9/11 has backfired on the terrorist, because now the world are their enemies.

I was pregnant and kind of out of it. I guess I was more concerned about myself at the time. I cried later listening to the news coverage of people who lost someone.

Too stunned as I just was unable to fully comprehend the enormity of the situation

I was pissed I was missing a soccer game-I was naive and too selfish to succumb to the event. I know better now.

i laugh but not because of what happened but because i was told in 1974 when the WTC opened that a plane would never crash into the towers.
