Well... Let's say you owned a store that sold... motor oil...

You tell a customer how much you want for a bottle of oil. It's perfectly fair that you set the price and terms. It's your oil after all.

The customer says that it's too much... and tells you what he's willing to pay... otherwise he'll just blow your head off and take the oil, supply weapons to your worst enemy, etc...

Security problem?

Oil is still cheaper than alternative fuels because the US and European governments and oil companies have done MUCH evil to keep it that way. Still cheaper even after HUGE profits are made by the oil companies who only are selling someone else's natural resource and basically just acting as middlemen. If America is allowed to do business all over the world and exploit cheap labor... Why are the owners of Middle-Eastern oil fields not allowed to refine and sell their product here? What do they need the oil companies for? Just ruthless, unnecessary middlemen who will do ANYTHING to stay in business and control "our" government..

If the region made more money on their oil and became a rich, thriving society... It'd be a great place to actually EXPORT American products to. The "elite" in control of "our" government does not want rich, thriving societies. They want ALL of the money to end up in their hands. They want the population poor, weak, and smaller. The "elite" has made RECORD strides in carrying out their evil deeds with George Bush in the White House. And many still cheerlead for their own demise...

Iran says that it's nuclear program is for power (which some probably is and some is for weaponary). Nuclear power is actually a very cheap way of power (although dangerous if exposed to spills) alot of European countries use nuclear power including Germany, France and others. As for security problems...well the entire middle east has had some issue with another country for some reason or another for decades. But the Iranians biggest right now is Syria.

It is very logical for Iran, to pursue a peaceful nuclear technology, and it is even more logical for them to pursue the possesion of Nuclear bomb, to defend themselves against the surprises of the Israeli and foriegn agressions of the near future. While the foriegn forces are bogged down in neighboring Iraq, Iran must prepare for the worst against any foriegn aggression. This is their legitimate right as a soveriegn country surrounded by the foriegn and zionist forces.

Sure there is. Israel is a threat to them. That is why they want to nuke Israel off the face of the earth.
In reality they want to extort money for the rest of the world and make themselves look as though everything that they do is correct. They want to show the Arab countries that just because they are not Arabs but Persians they can control the Muslims anyway that they want.

in their eyes, yes. their arch enemies, israel and the US both possess nuclear weapons. both of these countries have history of preemptive attacks, and the US has been extremely aggressive in their area, invading the countries on to both their east and west as well as naming them a part of the "axis of evil". looking at it from an iranian perspective, there are very serious threats to their security. i'm not saying they deserve nuclear weapons, but that they see the situation very differently from the way the west sees it.
