how many of you believe in the death penality? explain. what about the gay and lezbian marriage law. i think it is ok because nothing is wrong with that. they cant help it. they will live together anyway. if they are going to pass that law they should pass a law that if you get pregnant before you are 21, they have to terminate the pregnancy.

I'm talking about prop.87 which is supposed to allow for alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power. Those opposed to the bill are mostly oil companies which would be required to pay a tax on the oil produced in California. { I don't know if this type of legislation is present elsewhere} But why would we have to import oil in the first place. The same thing was done in Texas and Alaska and no oil was imported from outside sources. Is this just a big scare by the oil companies to keep people from voting for this
proposition simply because it would hurt there pockets? I think that the oil companies have a duty to help stop air polution. And if it takes a bill such as proposition 87 to bring this about, then I think the oil companies can certainly afford it without passing the cost down to the consumer........

I was referring to the British documentary [Bush assassination] and the ABC 911 movie that is under the current spotlight. I don't like it because they are confusing people. I think that it is very dangerous to take world events and fiction and then mix them together on national television. If people want to put them together as just a documentary for sale it is a different story but missleading the masses is a big mistake. There has been way too much over kill with regard to 911. The investigation should be directed toward finding out the truth and if history repeats itself we will be waiting for the answer for another fifty years.

Evolution can be seen in terms of subtle variations within a species, but we don't really see apes evolving into neanderthals, or fish evolving into amphibians. If that's how we got here, why doesn't it still happen?

Do any of you remember a miniseries from 2003 about the Reagans? Do you think it was wrong for people to take issue with the misrepresentation of one of their leaders in that case or just in the case of the 9/11 miniseries?

Bush used three soundbites in his speech to the nation to win support for war.
1. axis of evil
2. weapons of mass destruction
3. war on terror

Now that North Korea is making nuclear weapons (weapons of mass destruction) and is a global threat, was Bush right or was it all just propaganda?

The Supreme Court decision and dissents for the case where the court ordered the recount to be stopped while Bush was ahead is a fascinating read, I recommend you look it up... this and all other supreme court decisions are available on the internet. I am not a lawyer and it still provided some deep insights. It is the flimsiest excuse they could come up with to get the man elected... basically the decision was it's more important to choose a president right now, when bush is ahead, than to count the votes, and went against all precedents of attempting to discern voter intention.

Anyway, if you believe me or not, go read the opinions and dissents. It's fascinating. If you have, tell me what you think.
