Now now, we have enough flamewars around here. No need to start another one. ;) We have to try to be better than the flame-warring tr0lls, not stoop to their level.

As to the claim that Bush and other neoconservatives never said there was a link between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, I offer the following quotations:

"Saddam Hussein has longstanding, direct and continuing ties to terrorist networks. Senior members of Iraqi intelligence and al Qaeda have met at least eight times since the early 1990s. Iraq has sent bomb-making and document forgery experts to work with al Qaeda. Iraq has also provided al Qaeda with chemical and biological weapons training. And an al Qaeda operative was sent to Iraq several times in the late 1990s for help in acquiring poisons and gases." President Bush, Feb. 8, 2003. FYI: Virtually none of these accusations were factual.

"[Saddam Hussein] Hussein had long-established ties with al Qaeda." Dick Cheney, June 14, 2004

"Evidence from intelligence sources, secret communications, and statements by people now in custody reveal that Saddam Hussein aids and protects terrorists, including members of al Qaeda." Pres. Bush, Jan. 28, 2003, State of the Union Address

Gee, how could anyone mistakenly believe that this administration wanted to promote the falsehood of a solid, more-than-passing connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda? lol.

Manny lies...but it's not so much outright lying, it's the ignoring and twisting facts and accusing the Democrats for all their problems that gets me. Like Bush using the threat of Bin Laden against the Democrats, when Bush is spending all the military budget in Iraq and hasn't put enough effort into killing Taliban and Bin Laden. I especially dislike the Republicans blaming Democrats for everything bad going on in Congress when the Republicans have complete control...the Democrats have no voice or power in Congress.

Bush and Cheny have used Sadam in their terrorism statement and speeches years after it was proved Sadam actually feared Islamic fundamentalists...The Senate report on this is actually the same information Bush knew all along, but the Senate version was only brought out after 4 years of lies...mainly because Republican Congressmen want to be re-elected. Bush has been lying about the secret prisons and the Sadam/terrorism connection to citizens for years.

Also, the idea that the rusting garbage piles of mustard gas shells were usable WMD's is stretching it. There were buried under the sand for 20 years, were dangerous to dig up, and useless as a weapon.

Ah Ha is funny, what the heck have I been hearing for 4 years from Bush? He says it less and less only because we don't believe him any more. Sadam and WMD's have always been said in the same breath as the threat of terrorism. If we invaded Iraq simply because there might have been WMD's in a time when we needed our troops to combat terrorism it would have to be considered assinine...unless you connect terrorism to Sadam (which I know you do).

This straw-man argument is getting soooo old. Nobody on the right has ever said that there was a link between al Qaeda/9/11 and Iraq. "Why do the neo-cons lie?" No, why do the leftist lie?

No. Saddam was found guilty of using mustard gas on his citizenry. Mustard gas is a WMD. Add to that, there have been canisters of other similar such chemical weapons found cached in the dessert, so the WMD's were there. What is your news source? I use a few German and African News sources, as well as Xhingua, which is Chinese, when I need to verify a story from a rumor.

So all along you thought we invaded Iraq because they had a connection to Al-qaeda? Clinton said they had WMD's when he was President. Was he "lying" too?

human beings believe what they prefer to believe. truth has little result on human beings at the moment. type of like those who help Obama imagine he quite plans to tug out of the midsection east and make pals with the international. that's all nonsense. human beings do not look demanding sufficient at their leaders because they are petrified of what they are going to discover. If everybody ought to muster the means to take a demanding look at it and settle for all of your leaders are ******* and that both section are having a pipe dream, u.s. would a minimum of have an outstanding position to commence. you could not fix issues in case you do not settle for they are damaged. EDIT: ...you morons and your yellowcake. It would not even deserve rehashing yet - the yellowcake became no longer guns grade! It became bought LEGALLY. the U. S. KNEW it became there. It became INCONSEQUENTIAL and does no longer qualify as looking WMD's!!! EDIT: Kojak says "FIZZY You bypass over the salient factors....ONE the purely use of yellow cake is to commence a nuclear guns software....". quite? Then why did Canada purchase it to apply in that's nuclear means flowers?

Did the good senators look at Sadamm as running a money laundry for AlQueda?
The set up was perfect and the oil for food program enabled by Koffi was a perfect way to hide it sall . Of course the Senators wouldn't look too close there because their and Slick's pay offs probably used the same system.
Sadamm openly paid off suicide bombers and sent all his planes to Iran just hours before desert Storm.
We know who received the WMD.
