They are constantly interfering with soveriegn states by dictating there "do's and dont's". Why dont they practice what they preach? America has 37 million citizens living in poverty(CNN -August 2006). Why dont they resolve this instead of trying to"aliviate poverty in other countries". They start wars that devastate lives of millions of families including innocent children and their citizens are indifferent to the atrocities committed by their govt on their behalf. For every action their is re-action. Acts of terror committed by americans and its croonies is deemed self-defence but true freedom fighters in the middle east are called terrorists. Americans turned the world up-side down after 9/11(3000 innocent people lost their lives). The number of lives lost through American created wars runs into millions of innocent civilians who are not involved in 9/11. Is the american blood redder than all ours. Americans should leave us alone we dont need help from poeple who cant help themself

Politics in the form of democracy that we use today seems to allow a politician to promise one thing before an election and if elected do something different. Shouldn't we the people be able to make them hold true to the things they promised to do if elected afterall they are supposed to be our representatives in government. Do Presidents and Prime Ministers have too much power to wield? Did these same politicians get us into the problems we are into today because of their free wheeling ego boasting jobs?

Canadians tend to be a watchful and sit back give the world a chance type of people with a lot of immigrants from other countries. In a recent poll on what caused 911 they thought that US foreign policy was the main thing to blame for 911. Some of you will say, yeah well mind your own business but isn't that what they are doing? As neighbours to the US they are having to deal with extremists that either want to live close to the US for certain reasons or get into the US through Canadian borders so it is their business too. Do the people of the US control foreign policy or is that left up to the White House? Can the people invoke a change in foreign policy or are they doomed to more and more 911's in the future?

Speaker Hastert said today:

"Contrary to what my colleagues on the Far Left Liberal Democratic side erroneously believe, our borders are a sieve and we are at war and we certainly need to act like we are at war.
We need to close our borders, 'seal them' with the National Guard, it's very name implies, to "guard" the "nation"!!

These enforcement measures when be passed finally, BEFORE, the November elections will be put before President Bush for his signature.

A decisive act like this would boost GOP gains enormously

What say you?

Extremely important to be included are:

1. As much fence as possible on the border.
2. Mandatory verification for all new hires in all businesses.
3. Federal assistance of local communities trying to rid themselves of illegal alien populations.
4. An end to handing out hundreds of thousands of green cards and work visas without properly running the foreign workers through security clearance
5. NO AMNESTY IN ANY FORM

"New state law seeks to end hiring of illegal workers by state contractors.

Governor Bredesen as signed an executive order to move up enforcement of a new state law that calls for state inspectors to monitor the hiring practices of private firms working under state contracts.

The order lays out steps to make sure state contractors follow a law passed in the most recent legislative session to bar state contractors from hiring illegal immigrants.

The law was set to take effect January 1, but the order announced yesterday begins enforcement immediately.

The order criticizes "substandard" enforcement of immigration by federal agencies, a point Bredesen repeated Tuesday during a meeting in which Nashville law enforcement officials pushed for a greater role in enforcement of immigration laws. "

What do you think?

I have worked with numerous immigrants, those who just come to the US and need a little help getting started and then there are those who are in the US for years who refuse to learn ENGLISH..why should we continue to pay out of our pockets for their chosen denial of knowing what is going on around them?..It isn't a country of justice anymore..it is a country of who yells the loudest...my mother, a 49 yr old woman died who had a heart condition could not get assistance for heart surgery, a widow of 13 years, yet we can promote and continue to pay for immigrants who are not citizens or taxpayers and give them free care...day after day in the ER..who refuse to learn English..and we are now supposed to give them the right to vote?...for what purpose...they don't pay for anything....they pay nothing for health care...and are allowed to make decisions in our US Government?...don't you think we should be able to vote in their country's too?...and get rid of the bilingual mandatory crap?
