I received a letter and a check in the amount of $3800 in the mail the other day. It screams fraud all over it. I tried to contact the bank but the phone number is not good. I doubt the bank even exists. Who should I report this to?

I was terribly lost and due to a badly scratched cornea had an emergency appointment with an opthamalogist across from the hospital. I couldn't see out of my right eye, was crying in pain and didn't make a complete stop. the police was so mean that he gave me a ticket and incorrect directions to the hospital. can i explain this to the judge or should i just suck it up and pay? i have no prior tickets for 25 years. thanks

The KKK was a racist religious group that comprised 20% of the white male population in the United States during the 1920's. They murdered, cheated, lied, manipulated, and terrorized those who were different religions or races. This included lynchings, beatings, rape, torture, bombings, political manipulation, and more. in some cases, entire communities were dedicated to the KKK's cause.

One of the foundational tenets of the KKK was that they were Christian and they were doing the will of God by ensuring that non-Christians and non-whites were minimized and/or eliminated.

Why do some people categorize all Muslims as a threat because of a few, yet in the 1920's and later, people didn'd categorize all Christians as a threat because of the massive KKK organization?

If anyone can clearly rationalize this I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll have to believe the response is due to fearmongering and is hypocritcal.

Hi. I was recently offered a new job. They want to do a background check on me, and I recently got a ticket for an open container. I wasn't driving, but it was my car. Will they check for this, or just felonies? They said I either need a valid license from this state, or if I had one from out of state they would fingerprint me. ALso, since I just got the ticket, would it even be on my record yet?

Do you hate the people that oppose the war?

Do you oppose the war?

Do you want to bring our soldiers home or keep them fighting until the war is over?

What will it take for this war to be over?

Is WW3 on its way?

I am so confused about the war at hand.....It feels like the news talks less about it and I am un-informed. Is it almost over or not?

opinions count too...i know its a lot of questions, im sorry...just answer (or links) however you want...thanks!

Who decided that medicaid has to be all or nothing? My husband works full time & makes $12 an hour but does not have health insurance. We do not qualify for medicaid to cover my pregnancy. I'm not asking for a total handout, I know that a pregnant teen with no husband should get 100% benefits before someone like myself. Why isn't it done by a percentage, help people who work full time but not give them a free ride? We owe $1,000's in medical bills now that we'll never be able to pay. It's not fair that so many people get it 100% free and hardworking tax paying citizens can't even get a little help.

Yeah, Hilary would be smart enough for the job,,,but I still have a problem with her being honest! Is anyone in politics honest? I thought Bill Clinton was a great speaker. ONE of our best. Bush has got to be the worst.

About 3 months ago a friend of mine that is about a 10 year veteran of the military (4+ years in the USMC during Desert Storm and since 9/11 re-entered a Special Forces unit) got stopped by an Albuquerque Police officer for speeding and weaving.
My friend and a witness say the cop came into a Bennigans and saw him having a beer and then waited outside for him for about 45 minutes, then when he left, the cop followed him for 6 miles finally pulling him over and saying he had seen him having much more than one beer. My friend passed the SFTs and was polite and courteous. The cop still wrote him tickets. I've seen the weaving cite-it says "crossed line 2x" - (no more details). Apparently the cop has ensured my friend he will zealously appear in court to prosecute.
Since the I-25/Rio Grande drug corridor runs through Albuquerque and the city is flooded with drugs, has a high per capita violent crime rate, is a frequent feature on COPS, etc., is it just me or is this a bit petty?

How will it affect the American people? Gas is already high and we're losing good men and women everday. I really don't understand why our troops are there anyway. This is a serious question. Help me understand whats going on.

Ok Ok - there are some hot head fundamentalists who shoot back REAL HARD- but keep in mind- when in another man's land, could you blame them? What else have they got to do?
I mean really?

Just walk out and get shot by a strange soldier who is yelling something at you in a language you don't understand?

It always seemed to me that America was honest, and a "stand-up" kind of country,

I would do the same HERE on MY American soil- wouldn't you?
If we got attacked by a force ROVEing through the streets of the USA in tanks and Humvees- blowing up things everywhere- I guess I would then become an " American insurgent" -

What would YOU do?
I would defend my country to the death- wouldn't you?

your gonna say Cheney's line- (low matter of fact voice) "...so we don't have to fight them over here..."

You mean they don't know how to find America if they wish to?
- I don't buy it -

What should I do? Do I tell the future employer about the past or will they find out through the SS#
