I was terribly lost and due to a badly scratched cornea had an emergency appointment with an opthamalogist across from the hospital. I couldn't see out of my right eye, was crying in pain and didn't make a complete stop. the police was so mean that he gave me a ticket and incorrect directions to the hospital. can i explain this to the judge or should i just suck it up and pay? i have no prior tickets for 25 years. thanks

You can fight any ticket, but telling the judge your vision was impaired and you were crying just shows you were in no condition to drive a car in the first place.

Wow mean cops ticketing someone for rolling a stop sign while partially blind.

I would just pay the ticket and not go through the hassle of getting a statement from the Dr. etc. It wouldn't be worth the trouble and you'd have to pay the ticket anyhow, because you did not come to a complete stop.

i would fight it because it's your word against the officers and more than likely the officer wont take the time to show up on your court date to give his version of the story. actually...to be honest, i personally would probably just pay it cuz i get nervous in courthouses but i have a friend who fights every single traffic ticket he gets and has walked away from every single one with out paying a thing. but he would just lie and say he didnt roll through the stop sign. so i guess it all depends on whether you feel comfortable lying to the judge.

good luck

you may't ignore approximately an indication because you think of that's stupid. Hiring an criminal professional will cost you extra desirable than the cost ticket and there is not any assure you will win. in case you go with to combat it, you may desire to have some grounds. flow to court, gown right, be repectfull, prepare what you need to declare. keep in mind in addition they're going to ask you questions. terrific to attend site visitors college, this retains it off your checklist and your expenses won't be able to develop. you may get extensions or set up charge plans with maximum courts.that's approximately ninety 9% risk you will lose in court.

Fight the ticket...of course, you run the chance of being accused of being in condition that you shouldn't have been driving in the first place...that is what taxi's are for...Go for it...it will be dismissed, but have your records in order, bills from doctor, time, etc. Good luck

Unless you were driving an ambulance you need to pay! Actually you should not have been driving with a damaged cornea, you might have caused an accident and killed someone!

Rob's got it right. Ahhhh, well your honor - you know it was like this.... I was blind in one eye, you see (no pun intended) and well like you know, crying (so left eye blurred) and well this mean cop, like you know. He ahhhh gave me a ticket for a rolling stop. Hello - call a cab, call a friend, call an ambulance, whatever - the mean cop should've towed you in.

You can surely try. If the judge is open to reasoning, they can drop it in the Interest of Justice.

I have heard that if you can prove that you did what the average person would have done in a situation, you can beat the ticket. It is worth looking into. good luck.
