As you know (or not), Turkey is the only ally of Israel in the Middle East and it is a secular country with a majority of Muslim population. As a member of Nato and UN, Turkey has always been respected around the world in the peacekeeping missions. Ehud Olmert (Israel's Prime Minister) and Lebanese President (Fouad Sinyora) both asked Turkey to send troops for stabilizing the region, but Israeli President stated that a country like Turkey, which has close ties with Israel, could not be neutral and therefore shouldn't be in the force. What do you think?
