Should we continue to stand idly by while our leaders accept bribes from corporations to vote in their favor? SHould we allow others to undermine the very freedoms we have cherished? I say we should rise up and fight a government that is slipping out of the peoples hands. We fought to free ourselves from a monarchy and now in its place we have created our own version. I am tired of listening to a president that wants to boss us around. I say we stand up and declare in one voice what WE want!!!!

I totally understand your frustration and disgust -I carry a feeling of helplessness regarding the direction our nation is headed, and I don't mean just our president, but across the board our most prominent politicians vote in favor of corporate gain over individual empowerment. The best way to "fight" I believe is through empowering yourself with education, by supporting media without a political or corporate agenda, and speaking out - your strongest tools are your intellect and your vote. The people I vote for don't always win - but that's democracy in action. What scare me are the Sanatorums or Rumsfelds - people over whom I have no direct power over their political status. Chaos is not a viable solution - it does not allow a true foundation for political or social rebirth. Get involved, emulate and live what it is you think is needed and teach others by example.

And by your question you seem to be assuming that you can speak for everyone... that's interesting. Just two years ago, the American people went to the polls to state their wishes, and a majority voted to give George Bush the job of running our nation until January 20, 2009.

Anarchy and chaos are not the answers. Maybe you should educate yourself more fully on what the issues are and what is being done, before running off at the mouth and declaring that a revolution is necessary.

How is your tirade a question?

In a democracy, there is never a need to "rise up against our government." Remember, we ARE the government. In a free society, the people get the government they deserve. We don't need to rise up, all we need to do is simply go to the voting booths on the first Tuesday in November and kick their sorry asses out of office. Sounds easy, but apparently this is too much of an effect for a large percentage of Americans - and, I repeat, they're getting the government they deserve.

I was once America's foremost supporter in Canada. I made my living delivering steel to pickling factories in North Mid West, 70-90K per year. Now I throw American money in the garbage and I will probably never again visit the country where a man from Corning, N.Y. saved my life for which I am eternally grateful. If you are trying to incite a revolution you better hurry up because after your current administration bankrupts the country the super -rich Fascists will purchase it for a song!

If enough people felt this way to actually pull it off, they could just as easily vote the bastards out.

Wresting power away from the Republicrats really would result in change, and we wouldn't have to put up with any more Raw Deals, Contracts on Americans, or lip reading.

I say, we leave, and let them have this rotten, disgustint, polluted, land they have destroyed.
Where to go though?
maybe the Lord will send America someone to lead them out of Egypt.
Quite frankly tired of the fighting, finger pointing, slandering, accusations, court cases, suing, and having to walk on egg shells cause we now have over 5000 laws.
The higher ups wont be happy until they imprison us all in the guise of for our safety.
I say BULLSHIT scuse my language
All of them are liars, all of them.

By the way is war a blood sacrafice specifically forbidden in the bible?

I'm with you. It is time for another American Revolution! Stand up and fight for the things that are going on in our current government. We can no longer even have elections without them being thrown so we are caught in a "Bush" loop and they are shoving their ideas down our throats and their war loving values!

we made the choice between freedom and the benefits the government gives us. We made the choice of giving up freedom for safety and other benefits so we have already lost. Nobody is a Patrick Henry anymore with his "Give me liberty or Give me death".
