"New figures fuel fears over 'white immigration' into Britain
London, Aug 23: Fears and anxieties over the influx of 'white immigrants' into Britain have been fuelled by official figures that at least 427,000 east European migrants arrived in Britain during the last two years.

The figures are way beyond those projected by the British government when new members joined the European Union in 2004. The government's original estimate was that the annual intake of legal migrant workers from the mostly former communist states would be 5,000 to 13,000.

After the new figures were released the prospect of Bulgaria and Romania joining the EU next year is seen with increasing trepidation. The ongoing public debate on the issue is similar to the one when Asians and Afro-Caribbeans migrated to Britain decades ago."

It is an economic issue. Race has nothing to do with it.

i'm a white, Anglo, mutt American. I married a Latin American. I fairly have reason to appreciate a super lots of people who're right here illegally & legally, regularly from Mexico. I totally have self belief in my heart that it is not approximately taxes, money or welfare. it fairly is not any longer approximately breaking the regulation - individuals injury the regulation daily! Crossing the boarder isn't the equilivant to homicide. neither is it approximately language. My husbands english is fairly stable, yet he nonetheless is attacked for being Mexican. Of the huge bunch of kin & freinds I fairly have met by using my husband & his kin, just some people have not spoken english. u . s . a . is offended for helping Mexico - and that i do consider that arguement. Mexico should be self conserving - that's obviouly no longer. regrettably, u . s . a . picked up on cultural adjustments and has long gone for the jugular. that's thoroughly approximately race! a hundred%

Thats the UK, not America. Also why did they have to mention that the immigrants are white? Did it really matter to the story? They did so to say "hey look, we dont like white immigrants either" as a way to overcompensate.

It has nothing to do with race. Even in America - I still say that a crime is a crime and a criminal is a criminal. It doesn't matter if you're from Mexico or Romania if you don't have permission to be here, DON'T!
