Yes, our troops should come home from Iraq NOW! I am the mother of an Army officer who recently came home after a year in Iraq (leading a platoon of gun trucks providing security for Haliburton trucks). I am also married to a former Infantry officer who served in Vietnam. I have read and researched the issue of Iraq extensively and military experts are saying it was a mistake to invade Iraq in the first place, that the occupation was disastrously mismanaged, and that nothing more can be accomplished by our presence there -- indeed, we are making the situation worse. We should be focused on finding and destroying the real terrorists that threaten our country and stop being involved in sectarian/tribal violence. And for those of you with a different opinion, I sincerely hope that YOU are encouraging YOUR sons and daughters to enlist and go fight in this war that you support.

Sure, we can pull out if we want a good ole' fashion genocide war to take place. Sure there is some going on right now, but I can imagine a million or more dead if we left. Now that would be a responsible decision to be proud of!

In this way we need to stay in Iraq until either the Sunnis get a fair shake or the other two groups express adamant disinterest in their plight. If the latter happens, civil war will almost assuredly occur. The democratic system is working there. We must give it time. Maybe less Iraqis will die.

Yes. A general / complete withdraw by all and every foreign troop contingencies currently serving there. We (the westerm world) and all outside of Islam will never achieve anything by either remaining there or attempting to bring civilisation or any of its modern day benefits and acrutments.

Islam, decreed and enforced, under inherent indoctrination from the grave to the cradle, by ruling islamic extremists and all others of the same mould and creed will never be silenced until the ordinary Arab man and woman, living in such states, under the auspicis of depraved criminals (who dwell in attitude, thought and evil intent of centuries long ago) are overpowered and removed.

No religion whatsover should ever be enforced by way of indoctrination and precribed retribution as it is today under the Ayotollahs and fanatical clerics as is the norm in the majority of Middle East Islamic states.

They are past masters at it. Look to the Middle Countries of the Gulf, where they take all their little children, beat, enforce, preach the perverted thinking of the Mullahs to them / into them 24 hours a day during their entire lives.

What chance do the ordinary people of the Middle East have Indoctrinated as such? Hezbollah and all such fanatical groups swept to power under its perverted climate. Friday prayers and the clerics, mullah's rant, rave, point an accusing finger and thoudands of ignorant islamic sheep go charging off to disrupt, kill, main or whatever! All foreign serving troops prime targets.

And the governments of the Western world not only still consider it all worthwhile, they allow such people to invade all mainland europe and other countries and invest their doctrine.

The only way to bring peace in the gulf states is to let them fight it out / settle it themselves ie, let Islamic perverted dogs eat each other!.

NO! Pulling our troops out of the middle east would be a disastrous move. Our greatest current enemy is located in the middle east (Iran & all islamic extremists) and we need to defeat them or face our own destruction.

Whether or not you agreed with the initial invasion of Iraq, you are selfish if you want U.S troops to leave. The sectarian violence is horrible, and a withdrawl will cause for the complete distruction of Iraq and civil war. Also, our greatest enemy, Iran, would take over Iraq in the middle of the civil war, or after it. We lose, and everyone in Iraq looses if we leave. You know who wins? Iran.

It's not going to happen! And to Nino, your comments are spoken as a true extremist. Get real people! Americans don't want a war on American soil. There Have been more lives lost in our past wars than in this one.I think that speaks highly of our technological advances. Theirs more people lost in automobile accidents in this country in 1/2 year than the number of American soldiers killed since the beginning of the war.

It is time for the U.S. to take it's troops from all the countries were they are, and apologise to the world for it's imperialism. That way maybe there won't be another terrorist attack. There is no space for imperialism in the xxI century.

This is starting to get redundant. Pose a new question, or read the answers to an old post. Seriously, get over it.
